I've been using Banila Co's Covericious Foundation in Rose since its release, for about 6 months now (as of October 2019). Let me share my honest review with you!
First off, the overall color range tends to be a bit lighter. I typically use shade 21-22, and I'm currently using 21 Rose. I prefer a radiant look when applying foundation, which is why I chose this shade. The 21 Vanilla shade, while also a 21, has a yellow base with a slight blue undertone to my eyes, so I opted for Rose instead. The 23 Cinnamon seemed quite red-toned.
I apply it using a damp beauty sponge. I didn't notice at first when I was only using this product, but when I compared it to other foundations like Espoir or VDL, there's a clear difference in how well it adheres to the skin. The particles must be very fine because it adheres in an incredibly thin layer, so when it starts to wear off, it doesn't run or look messy.
Even when I apply it in the morning, by afternoon there's a slight dewiness that gives my skin a natural glow, which I love. I sometimes wear glasses at work, and this foundation leaves less of a mark compared to others (probably due to how thinly it applies and how well it adheres).
The finish is semi-matte, which works great with a damp sponge. It was a bit tricky to use in spring, but it became my holy grail foundation in summer. I'm still very satisfied using it now. I plan to try mixing it with essence for winter use.
That's my 6-month real review of the Covericious Power Fit Foundation in 21 Rose. The attached photo shows my skin condition after applying in the morning and after lunch.
The colors generally come out lighter than expected. Also, if the product container isn't closed tightly, it can be a bit loose, which is a shame.
