As someone with long hair reaching below the chest, I've been using hair loss prevention shampoos (like D*T*P*H* P*L*G*) for 2-3 years due to excessive shedding. Having used one type for so long, this review will be a relative comparison. I'm sharing my experience after using this shampoo for a week (12/17-12/25) as part of The Hwahae Testers program, along with my dry-skinned mother (50s). I have oily skin. The formula is uniquely thin compared to other shampoos, almost runny. Initially, I worried it might be wasteful, but it lathers extremely well. One pump was sufficient for me. Regarding hair texture, I usually use a treatment every other day. With my previous shampoo, my hair felt dry without treatment, but with Kundal, there's little difference whether I use treatment or not. My hair feels smooth even when combed with just fingers. However, I didn't completely forgo treatment. For skin and ingredients: I typically wash my hair after cleansing my face, so the shampoo touches my skin. I usually have many small blemishes, but after using Kundal, while not completely gone, they've significantly reduced. Though I can't be certain it's solely due to the shampoo, it's the only change in my routine. I suspect it's thanks to the natural-derived ingredients. My mother, who's sensitive to new shampoos and often experiences flaking and itching, reported no irritation or dandruff with Kundal.
Regarding the scent, I had high expectations given Kundal's reputation and my love for white musk. However, the pleasant scent only lasts during washing. Once hair is dry, there's a lingering scent reminiscent of men's skincare products. Fortunately, this afterscent doesn't last long, so it's not too bothersome. I just use my preferred perfume. Both my oily-skinned self and my dry-skinned mother noticed that our scalps became oily faster compared to our previous shampoos. For me (oily scalp), washing at 7 AM results in oiliness by 9 PM when I shower after work. My dry-skinned mother also noted quicker oil production. This might not suit those with very oily scalps.
I'm most satisfied with the significant improvement in my small blemishes. If my assumption is correct and the natural ingredients in Kundal shampoo are indeed responsible for my improved skin (and if this condition persists), I'll definitely repurchase!
