  As someone who's been using hair wax daily since my 20s, I've tried numerous products before settling on this one about two years ago. It's matte and firm, yet versatile enough to style both short hair and average-length men's cuts. What I love is its perfect balance between the typical stickiness and firmness of wax, making it incredibly easy to apply. In my book, great hold equals great application.

  If you're a guy with short hair looking for an extremely stiff, rock-hard texture, this might not quite meet your expectations.

  I bought this because I've used it before. The setting is great, and above all, its cleansing effectiveness is excellent, so I always use it.

  It hardens, so you need to rub it between your palms for a while before applying. The fragrance might be hit or miss for some.
