It's great for teenagers! The formula is gentle and versatile - you can use it on both face and body without any issues. I love that it's fragrance-free too. If you have oily skin, it might feel a bit heavy during summer. I'd recommend applying just a tiny amount. - vi*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 29, 2025
I've been using this emulsion for almost 10 years. No other moisturizer works for me... I struggled for so long to find the right one. It's a holy grail for super sensitive skin. Madagascar emulsion + tea tree cleanser = perfection! Using toner and essence well, then applying this centella emulsion long-term really helps improve many skin concerns. It's not very hydrating when used alone. You need to use toner and essence well. For those who find it greasy, make sure to properly hydrate in the previous steps before applying. For combination dehydrated skin, when it's dry (lacking water, not oil), it produces more oil. Combination skin = compromised barrier, so avoid harsh cleansing. It damages the skin and produces more oil. Dead skin cells are precious - don't exfoliate! Lots of flaking? It means 'I'm hurting, I'm dry, I'm in the process of healing.' Exfoliating = picking scabs, preventing skin regeneration, and aging faster. If you have dry skin, dampen your face with tap water or mist with purified water before moving on to toner. The toner and essence steps are essential. After toner and essence, if your skin is too damp when applying the emulsion, it can become dry later. Let it absorb a bit first. Use different amounts of emulsion depending on the season: summer < transitional seasons < winter. Things to pay attention to: Start by applying water, use the right amount of toner and essence (not too much or too little), don't over-absorb or under-absorb, don't use too much or too little emulsion, and adjust the amount based on season and humidity. This might sound confusing, but understanding it will help your skin suffer less. The same product can work or not work depending on how much you apply, and the level of absorption can determine whether your skin becomes dry or not. I hope someone reads this and finds it inspiring! - se*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinApr 19, 2025
I decided to try this since I've been enjoying the body cream from the same line, but it didn't suit my face From the second day, I felt a slight tingling sensation and noticed an increase in blemishes, so I stopped using it - vm********Oily SkinSensitive SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedFeb 20, 2025
I love centella extract as an ingredient, and this product contains a high concentration of 80% centella extract along with standardized centella extract, which is great. It's been a while since I've used an emulsion type product. I usually use watery ampoules or essences, but this non-runny emulsion texture is easy to apply without dripping. The application is light, moisturizing, and hydrating without being sticky, which I'm really satisfied with. I love how it makes my skin feel firm and supple. The pump packaging is convenient, and although I used to apply a lot, I found that 3-4 pumps patted into the skin absorbs quickly and feels refreshing. According to the emulsion comparison chart on Sidmool's product page, this leans more towards hydration (freshness) rather than rich moisture (high hydration). So when used alone, you might feel a bit of dryness. To combat deep dryness, it might be better to first charge your skin with hydration using a toner or watery essence before applying this emulsion. - fl********Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRednessRecommendedSep 17, 2024
Quick review: Great ingredients and soothing effects, but sensitive skin types should patch test first! I felt a slight tingling when I first applied it. There might be an ingredient that doesn't agree with me, but I haven't had any blemishes, so I'm continuing to use it. It's really a case of 'your mileage may vary' - those who find it suitable will love it! Firstly, the hydration is perfect for combination dehydrated skin. It absorbs quickly, so there's no pilling when applying makeup or sunscreen. I love that it's fragrance-free and has a natural scent from its ingredients. Sidmool really seems to excel at this kind of product. Probably due to its high centella asiatica content, when I apply it before bed, any redness is completely gone by morning. If only it didn't tingle... It could have been my holy grail emulsion. What a shame... Make sure to test it behind your ear before using it on your face! I wonder if the packaging could be a bit more minimalist. But the more I look at it, the more it grows on me... For the Madagascar line, this cute packaging style seems to fit well! - sj****Oily SkinSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedMay 30, 2024
The centella asiatica is great for daily soothing. The texture isn't too thick, but soft and smooth, so it should work well for all but very oily skin types. It works well for me, so I don't have any particular complaints. If you want to try a centella product but find the Madagascar moisturizer too pricey, I'd recommend this one. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsRecommendedJan 16, 2024
The ingredients are great! It contains 80% centella asiatica in the emulsion and 4 key powdered centella components. It definitely provides effective soothing care. There's nothing particularly bad. Well, there's a slight white cast when applied, but it disappears over time... so I really can't think of any drawbacks. - ho*****Combination SkinNov 13, 2023
To be honest, there's not much I can say that's positive... The texture is quite thin. Scent: It has a clay-like smell, similar to what I've often encountered in unscented products. However, the scent is quite strong and lingers for a while. Oiliness: It's quite rich. Compared to the green tea cream I used before instead of emulsion, there's a noticeable difference. It leaves a shiny finish. Hydration: If you have dry skin, you might find it insufficient. Even with my combination dehydrated skin, I feel some deep dryness. Also, it absorbs rather slowly. I bought this because the reviews on the homepage were good, but I should have checked the Hwahae reviews too. I don't think I'll be able to use this well. I'll probably stick to my usual cream. - gp****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinRecommendedApr 8, 2023
The centella skin toner and emulsion work well as a set. It's a safe choice, great for gifting, and provides decent hydration. I used it when my skin was sensitive, but I found I could skip it without noticing much difference. Hmm, it's hard to pinpoint specific pros or cons... It's just a product that didn't really stand out. It's a pretty average emulsion. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinAcne SkinApr 4, 2023
I used it without any issues. It doesn't absorb exceptionally well though. I tried this as an alternative to Stiefel A, but I'm not sure about its skin regeneration effects.
