Honestly, this oil has Clarins' signature herbal scent that's so lovely and relaxing... It's like you've just had a spa treatment. The fragrance makes me want to keep buying and using it. It's not an artificial scent, but a natural one from the earth. I've tried Guerlain's Abeille Royale oil too, but Clarins' oil is just as impressive. It's lightweight and absorbs well, without leaving any greasy or sticky residue. It's an oil you can apply during your basic skincare routine! After application, it provides excellent hydration. When you purchase other products, they often include this as a sample, which is enough for occasional use. The only downside is that since my skin has become more prone to blemishes, I can't use it as often as I'd like. This oil works hard to nourish the skin while balancing oil and moisture. It's great for evening out skin tone and giving a natural glow. Even those with combination dehydrated skin or super sensitive skin might find it beneficial. Remember to patch test first if you have concerns about potential allergic reactions. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 26, 2022
Absorbs instantly, leaving a radiant glow on the face without any stickiness. The scent is like you've just had an aromatherapy session. It's quite pricey... I'll probably keep buying it though. It seems cheaper on Coupang, but I don't trust it, so I'm purchasing from the official site with sunscreen and silky emulsion samples added. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinNov 26, 2019
First off, the scent is absolutely divine... As someone who adores woody fragrances, I'm head over heels for this! When my skin feels parched, I mix it with my emulsion or use it alone if it's really dry. Unlike sticky jojoba oil, this has a slightly runny texture that absorbs well into the skin. Occasionally, it can cause blemishes to appear. Oddly enough, my dry cheeks are fine, but it tends to break out around my nose and chin. I've found that taking breaks helps clear things up, so I avoid using it daily. Also, the bottle's small opening makes the glass dropper clink, which always makes me nervous about accidentally breaking it. Pro tips: Mix it with a gentle emulsion for a hydration boost! After removing a sheet mask, add a couple of drops while your essence is still damp and gently massage it in. - Hwahae UserDry SkinMay 15, 2019
Hydration. Dewy skin. Non-sticky texture. A winter essential. It's also great to use every few days in summer when skin gets rough. The price is jaw-dropping. I wish face oils were available in large supermarkets too. Apply generously before bed. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 23, 2019
After applying, it's less sticky than other oils and absorbs well, making it great for winter use. I have acne-prone skin, but it doesn't cause any blemishes! The only downside is the price... I wish it were a bit more affordable. - Hwahae UserDry SkinFeb 12, 2019
I've been using my favorite toner in a 120ml mist bottle, and I added about 50 drops of this oil to it. Adding the face oil has provided the extra richness my skin needed. Unlike other oils I've tried, this one absorbs well without sitting on top of the skin. It feels like it's really nourishing my skin! There's zero stickiness too. For reference, I used twice the amount compared to other oils. This was a total disaster. I had this oil as a gift and finally decided to use it. I filled a 120ml mist bottle with my new toner and added this oil, never imagining it would have such a strong scent. The moment I shook the bottle and sprayed it after washing my face, the smell hit me. I thought the oil had gone bad and even checked the expiration date. Then I came to Hwahae and saw others talking about the scent. The fragrance is like a mix of herbal medicine, digestive pills, and the cologne from a men's locker room. It's quite an intense, masculine scent. I get headaches from strong smells, and sure enough, I have one now. I can't turn back time, and I can't bring myself to throw away a new toner, so I'll use it up, but I'm really disappointed. If there's an unscented version of this oil in the future, I'd be interested in trying it. If possible, I strongly recommend smelling this product before purchasing. It seems like people will either love or hate the scent. I'm definitely in the 'hate' camp. On a side note, this might be good for giving your boyfriend or husband a bit of a scare if your relationship needs some excitement. It really does give off a strong masculine scent! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAug 10, 2018
It's not sticky at all and absorbs so well when applied to my dry face before makeup The amount is surprisingly generous. There's nothing to complain about... - Hwahae UserCombination SkinFeb 22, 2018
It's an oil, but it's great for light application. There's no sticky feeling either. If you have dry skin, Blue Orchid alone might not be enough. My skin used to be oily but has become increasingly dry, and now it feels tight no matter how much I apply. So afterwards, I mainly mixed it with foundation. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinJul 11, 2017
※This product review is the opinion of a 40-year-old family member with non-acne prone dry skin. It does not feel sticky and absorbs quickly. I'm not sure about the moisturizing power, but the scent is like walking in a forest. It lifts my mood. There were no disappointing aspects. I use two drops of the lotion when applying it. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMay 18, 2017
It absorbs into the skin like oil, feeling lightweight and effortless. The scent also provides a comforting aromatherapy effect. It's non-sticky, so it can be used year-round except in the summer. The scent may be divisive, with many users having strong preferences either way. It's not recommended for those who dislike fragrances.
