  The pads are incredibly gentle, causing almost no irritation, so you can use them worry-free even on sensitive days. Thanks to the Houttuynia Cordata extract, I felt it was quite effective in soothing blemishes. The pads are generously soaked in essence, allowing for a consistently hydrating experience from start to finish without any dry spots! I found them great for refining skin texture and as a quick alternative to sheet masks.

  The lid is a bit flimsy, so you need to make sure it's tightly closed during storage to prevent drying out. While there's hardly any fragrance, there is a distinct natural scent from the Houttuynia Cordata, which some people might find off-putting.

  I didn't buy this for myself, but for my daughter who's entering puberty. I ordered it because I heard houttuynia cordata is great for calming acne. My daughter is quite satisfied and using it diligently. We're looking forward to seeing the results!

  I'm going through bottles of this stuff like water! There's absolutely nothing bad to say about it. When I apply it to my blemishes before bed, I wake up to find they've calmed down significantly.

  Pros

  This is great to use on your face before morning makeup! Especially since it's a houttuynia cordata pad, I always use it in the morning when I have blemishes or need soothing. Even without refrigeration, it feels cool when you first apply it! I love that the tongs are inside the container and don't easily detach. The cotton pads have a bit of thickness and seem to be on the softer side compared to other toner pads! It's perfect for those who want a quick and easy step before makeup in the morning, or for those who find sheet masks too bothersome - just take out two or three pads and you're good to go!

  Cons

  Maybe it's because the manufacturing date was September 2022 and I opened it in February 2024, but there's no excess toner at all - it seems like the pads have absorbed it all. If you leave it on for more than 5 minutes, it feels dry, and even when you first apply the pad, it doesn't feel super hydrating or moisturizing. I'd recommend using these as soon as possible after purchase. The pads aren't particularly large, just average size, and they don't adhere to the skin very well. I won't be repurchasing these.

  My middle school kids diligently apply these whenever they get blemishes. They work well for calming the skin, and since they're gentle and non-irritating, the kids use them without any issues.

  Cons

  There's nothing particularly disappointing about them, but they are on the pricier side. Since we're using them on blemish-prone areas, we end up using three or four patches at a time, which quickly adds up to more than the cost of a full face mask.

  My skin type is oily/blemish-prone (mainly folliculitis)/scarred/sensitive. I used this as a night care mask-like application. Soothing effect: ★★★★ I remember using a spot treatment with Houttuynia cordata and tea tree oil that worked wonders for calming my skin, which gave me a great impression of Dajayeon. So I had high expectations for this product. While it wasn't as potent as that spot treatment, I could still feel a noticeable soothing effect! I took off one star because you need to use it consistently to see results, so it wasn't an immediate 'Wow, my skin feels so much better!' moment. Hydration: ★★★ I used this at night after using onion pads in the morning. Compared to the onion pads, I noticed the moisture evaporated more quickly when using this for the same amount of time. It's not that it lacks hydration, but relatively speaking, it felt like it dried a bit faster. Interestingly, my male cousin who was struggling with teenage acne, including pustules and scars, saw significant improvement after using products from this line. If asked about repurchasing... I'll probably come back to these pads after trying other products. It's like when my skin acts up, I always return to Dajayeon!

  The only downside is that the pads aren't stretchable or flexible, so the size can be a bit awkward to work with.
