I haven't used Hatomugi products for about 5 years now. It used to be my holy grail, and I've been a skincare nomad for a while. Although I have extremely dry skin, I prefer completely watery toners (because I have many steps in my routine, and thicker products make it harder for subsequent products to absorb). Compared to toners like Dokdo or Etude's Soon Jung, which leave a slight residue making it uncomfortable to apply essence afterwards, the Sokssal Silky Toner gives a clean finish when applied. It absorbs well, though after the third layer, I start to feel a slight build-up. While it's not my holy grail, I still recommend it. Its charm lies in its simplicity. I like how it absorbs when layered multiple times, and the price is great too. I'll probably keep using it until I find a new product to try.
It contains lemon seed oil, which gives it a lemony scent. Some people might like it, but to me, it smells a bit artificial, which I'm not a fan of. Aside from the fragrance, I like it.
I decanted it into a spray bottle and misted it on my face, patting it in about 5 times for absorption.
