This is my holy grail toner and I'm already on my 5th repurchase. I have extremely oily skin with just a hint of dehydration - it's almost embarrassing to call it combination dehydrated skin. My skin is also quite resilient, so I can use pretty much anything. 1. It's a true water-based toner. It applies refreshingly and has a very slightly smooth texture, which I love. I hate even the slightest residue on my face, but this absorbs quickly and just takes care of that post-cleansing dryness. Highly recommended for oily skin types looking for something super lightweight. However, even I feel like one layer isn't enough, so I usually do three layers, which leaves my skin as hydrated as it would be right after washing. 2. The large size makes it great for liberal use and it's incredibly versatile. It's great as a toner mask when applied with cotton pads, works well in a mist bottle, and can even be mixed with thicker creams. It seems to play well with other products too - a benefit of its water-like consistency. 3. It's incredibly affordable for the amount you get, making it unbeatable in terms of value. I use it generously and the bottle seems never-ending! If you have oily skin, what are you waiting for? Go grab it now! Even if it doesn't work out, you won't regret the purchase at this price point.
1. Absolutely not recommended for dry skin types or those looking for functional benefits! This product is just a basic, no-frills standard in the world of water-based toners. Imagine applying water with two drops of hydration - that's what it feels like. Of course, I settled on this because I was looking for a product with zero oiliness or slipperiness. If you're not like me, you might not enjoy it. You might even feel like it evaporates immediately after application. However, that can be solved by applying three or more layers as I do. 2. The design is a bit inconvenient with just a hole punched in the lid when you open it, making application slightly tricky. Sometimes it gushes out and spills. Being so watery, it can slip through your fingers too. The large size and heavy bottle can be cumbersome when you first open it. You'll need to be careful with this!
Personally, I found it works best as a mist. It's non-sticky and quickly resolves any dry or flaky areas. It dries fast, so there's no risk of smudging eye or cheek makeup. Also, when I need to use a cream with a thick consistency, mixing it with this toner makes it spread more thinly and hydrate better, which I'm really satisfied with.
