I was so excited to finally try the Aveda Invati shampoo I've been dying to use! I was thrilled to test it as part of The Hwahae Testers. 1. Texture The consistency was thicker than I expected, which made it great for massaging the scalp. After a bit of gentle rubbing, it lathered up nicely. 2. Scent The fragrance might be a bit divisive. It has a herbal aroma rather than a fresh, floral scent. However, it gave me the impression that it was really working to improve my scalp health and hair condition. 3. Scalp Condition With the dry winter weather, dead skin cells tend to build up more (I have super sensitive skin and haven't found my perfect shampoo yet). After using it twice, I didn't experience any discomfort. There was no itching, and it felt gentle on my scalp. While one of the product's selling points is its ability to remove dead skin cells, I'll need to use it more to see if it's truly effective. I'll update after more use. Pro tip: For better exfoliation, try massaging the shampoo into your scalp and leaving it on for 2 minutes before rinsing. 4. Oil Control As someone who loves that squeaky clean feeling, I noticed that my scalp seemed to get oily a bit quicker compared to my previous scalp shampoo.
Given that it's an Aveda product, the price per volume is a bit steep, but I suppose you get what you pay for...
