These days I have to wear a mask every day, and my skin gets a bit irritated when I do skincare. But when I use this product, it's fine. โข It has a bit of moisturizing power!! After using the toner, there's no dry feeling, which is great. โข No breakouts! I was worried it might cause trouble since it's not what I normally use, but so far it's been wonderful.
Consโข Those who don't do cleansing oil might find it a bit inconvenient. After my skin got irritated, I've been using it without cleansing oil, just applying it directly with my hands. The runny texture can be a bit tricky that way.

I had to rewrite this review after it got lost..๐ฆ I think my skin type is combination, as it changes depending on the weather. During seasonal changes, my eyes, lip area, and skin become very sensitive. First, the packaging of the product is unique. It has a one-touch cap. When you press one side, the other side pops up, making it easy to open with one hand. This is especially convenient for those with slippery hands. The mint color is also pretty. The formula is a milky, flowing liquid type. It can drip down if you apply it directly to your hand, so it's better to apply it quickly or use a cotton pad that doesn't absorb much. Once applied and patted in, it absorbs fairly quickly. It doesn't feel completely lightweight, as it seems to replenish both moisture and oil. The scent is like that of tea tree and centella products. It has a subtle herbal fragrance that's not too strong. Since I don't dislike this type of scent, it was fine for me. As mentioned on the detailed product page, I think this toner is effective for soothing and moisturizing the skin.
ConsThe one-touch cap is convenient, but when applying it with my hands, it tends to drip a bit around the edges. So I wipe it off with my hands after applying. After it's fully absorbed, it's not overly sticky, but there's a slight tacky feeling, not completely weightless. It's not an unpleasant, clingy sensation, but more like a film has been left on the skin. It's fine on my face, but I don't like that lingering feeling on my hands, so I end up washing them after applying. The price of 32,000 won for the 500ml full size isn't exactly cheap for everyday use. But it seems they have sales often, so it's better to purchase it during a discount period.
TipI really like keeping this soothing toner in the fridge and applying it. After showering or when my skin feels irritated, I take it out of the fridge, wipe it on, and leave it like a sheet mask.

I recommend this product for those with combination, slightly oily, and slightly dry skin types! If you plan to use other hydrating products after this, those with dry skin might also find it suitable. I also recommend this to those who dislike products that feel like they just evaporate off the skin, like alcohol-based toners. And since it's a mild, slightly acidic product, I think it would work well for those who have had good experiences with similar pH-balanced products, or those who have been dealing with some skin concerns like breakouts or uneven texture.
Cons- When I tried to dispense the product into my hands, the watery texture made it flow out easily, even though the packaging is not a direct dispenser. This made it a bit tricky to control the amount. So I think I'll mainly use it with a cotton pad going forward. ใ ใ - It feels a bit of a waste to use it as a cleansing toner. Since it has a decent level of hydration, I think it's better to use it to really absorb it into the skin. So it may not be the best option if you're looking for a product that will thoroughly cleanse the skin. - The scent, which is kind of herbal or healthy-smelling, might be a hit or miss for some people!
TipSince the texture is so watery, I found it worked best when I applied it to a cotton pad and gently patted it onto my face, then wiped my face once afterwards. Applying it directly to the hands and then absorbing it into the skin can work too, but the runny texture makes it tricky. So I'd only recommend that approach for those who like to do multiple toner applications, like a 3-skin method.

Although it's a skin, it's not a watery skin, and there's no tightness or that kind of feeling! I only layered the skin twice every 3 days to give my skin a break, and didn't apply anything else, but I didn't feel any tightness or that kind of thing~ In fact, it's not easy for skin alone to prevent or treat breakouts, that's the truth. Since you have to apply a serum or cream, it was a bit disappointing to evaluate the skin alone. I have this weird, sensitive skin where pimples like adult acne keep appearing and disappearing, leaving scars, and even with this skin, there were no new breakouts! ^^ Looking at the ingredients, there were a few that stood out for their soothing effects, so I used it without worry. I'm willing to try other basic products as well, not just this skin.โก
ConsThere's nothing particularly bad, but the bottle opening is a bit easy to open and close, you know what I mean?^^
TipAs for a tip, I guess you could just let your skin rest on certain days and layer this skin, slather on a lot of cream, and soak a cotton pad with this skin and leave it on.โก

When applied to the skin, it didn't get absorbed right away and stayed on the skin for a while. For oily-skinned people, one layer should be enough. 2. Moisturizing After applying, it felt moisturized. But the toner alone is not enough! I recommend using additional moisturizing products after applying the toner. However, it gave a sense of replenishing moisture and wasn't greasy, which I liked. I think it can be a bit helpful for those with dry skin! 3. Skin Texture Refinement During this transitional season, my skin texture had become quite rough. There were a lot of uneven bumps, and my skin was problematic in various ways. I also had a few blemishes. Using this, I felt like my skin became more refined! The uneven texture reduced, and it became a bit smoother. I'm very satisfied with just this!
ConsIn this current weather, it can be used in a lighter way, but I'm not sure how it would be in the middle of summer. If you do use it, you'd have to layer it multiple times. Also, the bottle has a cap-type design, so when you use it, a drop or two always runs down the bottle opening... that's quite disappointing.
TipWiping it with a cotton pad morning and evening helps refine the skin texture and remove dead skin. Even without separate exfoliation, my skin felt smoother after using the toner!

I generally don't prefer sticky products. Texture: It's a semi-transparent water-type, so there's no stickiness and it's lightweight, making it great for late spring or summer weather. Scent: It has a fresh, minty scent. The scent isn't overpowering, but if you're sensitive to fragrances, you may want to consider it. Pros 1. It's a liquid formula, so there's a risk of the cap not closing properly or leaking if stored incorrectly. But this product has a one-touch type dispenser, which is convenient to use and makes a 'click' sound to indicate the cap is closed, so you know it's sealed. 2. Refreshing yet moisturizing. It's not overly sticky, doesn't pull, and absorbs well, so you can apply multiple layers without feeling burdened. The lightweight texture is great. 3. No oiliness After use, there's no significant oil buildup, and it leaves a smooth, slightly moisturized finish that refines the skin texture. 4. Soothing for mask-sensitized skin Wearing a mask for more than half the day has made my skin sensitive, with a lot of blemishes and breakouts. But this product has helped soothe my skin and gradually calm down the irritation and breakouts.
ConsDrawbacks 1. It's fine to apply with a cotton pad, but if you scoop it out with your hands, the packaging can be a bit inconvenient, and it may drip down immediately. 2. The price is a bit higher than expected, so I'd recommend buying it when it's on sale. It's 32,000 won for a 500ml bottle.
TipIt doesn't necessarily provide dramatic effects right away, but since everyone's experience may vary, I'd suggest trying the 200ml size first to see if it works for you. If you like it, then you can purchase the 500ml bottle.

I have combination skin with milia, and I have always preferred creams over toners due to my need for sufficient moisture and hydration. (Many functional toners have always felt slightly lacking, about 2% short, for my skin...) After receiving the toner, I used it consistently morning and night. First, it had a viscosity that could be considered a 'water toner.' I had a preconception that water toners would evaporate from the skin, leaving it tight and dry after use. However, I found that it remained just as hydrating on the skin as when first applied, like a cream. While it may not provide the same level of moisture as a cream, it definitely exceeded the hydration I would expect from a water toner. The absorption was quick, and the hydration was well-preserved, leaving a non-greasy, supple feeling. I used it by dispensing it onto my hands in the morning and using a cotton pad to apply it at night. Personally, I preferred the cotton pad application. After consistent use, this seems to be a soothing toner that is well-suited for all skin types, providing reliable hydration. Those with oily or combination skin may also find this toner to be non-greasy and true to its 80% hydration, 20% moisturizing balance.
ConsThe extremely low viscosity, almost water-like consistency, meant that when applying it directly with my hands, it would often drip and run off. However, when using a cotton pad, I was able to use a small amount and keep my skin hydrated for a long time.
TipIf you'd like to use it as a mask, you could try a salt water pack-like application. As a water toner, if you soak a cotton pad and press it onto your face in front of a fan, you can really feel the cooling effect on your skin! Personally, I found this helped to reduce facial redness afterwards.

My skin is extremely sensitive and prone to acne, so I only use gentle products. The Lactocica Soothing Toner was great as it has no irritating ingredients. Even though I'm using acne medication and my skin is very sensitive, I didn't experience any breakouts, and my acne actually seemed to calm down. The hydrating ingredients kept my skin feeling moisturized, which is unusual for a toner as they often leave my skin feeling dry. The scent may be divisive, but I didn't find the herbal fragrance unpleasant. This is a highly recommended toner for sensitive skin.
ConsThe packaging is a bit disappointing. It's difficult to control the amount dispensed - just a slight tilt of the bottle causes it to pour out quickly. It took me about a week to get used to it, though.

I was worried it wouldn't be able to replace that moisture, but compared to other cica toners, I was satisfied with how quickly it absorbed and how little oiliness there was after applying it.
ConsThe part where the toner comes out could be better if it was more like other toners - it comes out a bit unevenly and runs a little. And while the immediate moisture is good, the lasting moisture effect was a bit weak, which was disappointing.

My skin tends to feel tight and quickly turns red after removing makeup and cleansing. When I wear makeup, my skin becomes sensitive, but this toner has a scent that is not too irritating for me, so I can comfortably apply it before makeup and after cleansing. I don't like oily textures, but this toner is watery. And since my skin is sensitive, I've often had breakouts when trying new color cosmetics and toners, but after applying this, my skin calms down within a few minutes. The best part is that it doesn't feel sticky at all!
ConsThe fact that it flows like water is both an advantage and a disadvantage!
