I had a lot of small blemishes below my jawline that I touched, causing them to spread and become inflamed, even leading to hyperpigmentation. A sales associate at the Aesop store highly recommended this product, so I applied it only to the troubled areas after toner at night. Amazingly, about 80% of the bumpy blemishes calmed down. It seems to soothe almost all blemishes when used in the early stages. I think it's due to the salicylic acid (though I'm not sure of the percentage) - it's truly the best for oily, acne-prone skin. As for the texture, while it looks like it might be very sticky based on its gel-ointment form, it doesn't feel sticky at all once it's been on for a while.

The product itself is really great... If I had to nitpick, the only slight annoyance is that it gets a bit messy around the tube cap.

I have thin, sensitive skin, and this product has been the most effective for me whenever I get blemishes. When I apply it to red, itchy spots, it quickly soothes and calms them down. I've tried so many spot treatments over the years, but this one works best for me. I think I'll be using it for life!

It usually takes about three applications every couple of hours, but by the time I get home in the evening, I'm much more comfortable. It really helps calm my skin. What's great is that the lightweight formula allows me to apply it even over makeup without any issues.

While the amount might seem small, I used it sparingly, just dabbing it on specific areas like you would with an antibiotic cream.
