Pros
The Bomwom Chujung 20-21 Yellow Cream is great for combination acne-prone skin! It was a product with a very clear brightening effect. It applied smoothly and softly. The only downside is that it's in a compact container, but they included a spatula, which is a plus. In the last photo, the left side is the skin after application, and the right side is the original skin - the difference in tone is drastic! It brightens the skin to a light, slightly pink-toned complexion.
Cons
The downsides are quite serious. I received it as a gift from a friend, and while I feel bad, it just doesn't suit my face at all. 1) Ingredients There are 4 caution ingredients... Personally, for a daily-use tone-up cream or sunscreen, I prefer milder ingredients that I can use with confidence. With this many caution ingredients and the subpar performance, I don't feel comfortable using it on my face. 2) Slippage, flaking, accentuated flakiness, and clumping From the very first application, I noticed slippage and flaking around my eyes, and clumping on my nose, cheeks, and between my brows. I had a bad feeling about it from the start. The tone-up color is pretty, but the formula is unusable. Even though I have a solid skincare routine, I can imagine this would be very difficult for those who skip some steps. 3) Longevity and oiliness While I'm combination-type and my oil doesn't get too serious, this product left a shiny, almost greasy film on my skin by lunchtime. This wasn't a healthy glow, but an emphasis on pores and uneven texture. I could see the product settling into fine lines around my nose and cheeks. 4) SPF I always make sure to apply sunscreen daily, so the lack of SPF in this product is disappointing. I thought a tone-up product would be a quick, pretty morning option, but a cushion foundation would be better. 5) Packaging A tube format would have been more convenient. Overall, this is quite disappointing. My friend gifted it to me because it worked well for her, but I'm not sure why it was voted the #1 tone-up cream. It just doesn't work for me at all.
Tip
If you've already purchased it but it doesn't work for your face, try using it on your body! I have a much darker tone on my neck compared to my face, so the clear brightening effect worked really well for me to use it on my neck. I've also been using it on the backs of my hands and my arms - it's been great!

Pros
These days, since we have to wear masks everywhere, many people are more interested in tone-up creams that apply lightly and have less transfer, rather than full coverage foundations, BB creams, or cushions with a lot of coverage. Tone-up creams have been something I've used occasionally for a light makeup look or a quick errand, even before. But the older tone-up creams used to look a bit unnatural, with a whitening effect, and would sometimes get cakey if applied too much or rubbed too hard. However, the Color Gram tone-up cream applies so smoothly and naturally enhances the skin tone. The formula has a slightly creamy, bouncy texture that glides on the skin comfortably without any stickiness. It also has a subtle rose scent that I find quite pleasant. The packaging is also really pretty - a pink case with a shimmery lid.
Cons
Like some other tone-up creams, this one does have a bit of cakiness and creasing. It's a shame that I haven't found a tone-up cream yet that is completely free of these issues.
Tip
I like to mix this tone-up cream a bit with a darker foundation to get about half a shade more coverage. That's what I've been doing and it works well for me.
