I originally used The Ordinary's liquid niacinamide product, but tried this new powder version and it's surprisingly good! I'm mixing it with Bioderma Sensibio Light. You can customize the concentration for different areas of your face as needed. The Ordinary recommends using 1/4 of the provided spoon, but since my T-zone is oily, I mix 1/2 spoon with cream for my whole face and add extra cream for my U-zone. It's great for controlling oil and brightening. I feel like my skin looks brighter when I wash my face in the morning (only when I've had enough sleep and no stress, though). While niacinamide is often advertised for brightening, I always use it more for its oil-controlling properties. The powder has a longer shelf life after opening compared to the liquid version - about 12 months I think. That's definitely a plus. The amount you get is generous. I've only been using it for a week, but it seems like it will last much longer than the liquid serum. The 30ml liquid version barely lasts a month, but this powder is cheaper and feels like it'll last 4-5 months.
The only slight inconvenience is having to mix it with cream or serum. Other than that, I don't have any complaints.
It can sting a bit if you apply niacinamide right after popping a blemish.
