I've been using only bar soap for a long time because I like that squeaky clean feeling, so please keep that in mind as you read this review about my experience with foam cleanser after such a long break. For context, I have combination skin that's a bit oily on the surface but dry underneath, my eczema has mostly cleared up, I have a few blemishes, and while I have sensitive skin, foam cleansers have never caused a bad reaction. I also don't wear makeup. While I don't have much to compare it to, I really liked that this cleanser didn't leave that slippery feeling after rinsing thoroughly, which some other cleansers I've tried in the past did. It felt moisturizing without any residue. Since I don't wear makeup, I can't speak to its makeup removal power, but it left my skin feeling as clean and refreshed as if I'd washed twice with soap. Being slightly acidic seems to have helped calm my skin troubles a bit, as you can see in the last photo I've attached. +Update: My skin has definitely improved! The blemishes in the photo have completely disappeared. Looks like this cleanser really works for me! My friends have even commented on how clear my skin looks now. When I switched to bar soap for a week, I immediately broke out and my skin became patchy, so I'm back to using this to calm things down. While I still wish it lathered more, the results are so good that I'll keep using it. I've even grown accustomed to the scent. ++Another update: It's been a year or two since I first tried this as part of The Hwahae Testers, and I'm still using only this cleanser. I'm still battling blemishes, but this has been a huge help!

At first, the scent seemed pleasantly sweet, different from what the reviews mentioned. But when I lathered it up, there was a slightly stale smell which was disappointing. I got used to it over time, and while it doesn't linger strongly after washing, there's a subtle scent that might bother some people. It's definitely a love-it-or-hate-it kind of fragrance. If you're sensitive to smells or have strong preferences, you might want to keep this in mind before purchasing! Another slight drawback is that it doesn't lather up as much as you might expect, possibly due to its mildly acidic formula. If you like lots of foam, you'll need to use a bit more product. I wouldn't recommend this if you're looking for a deep cleanse.

This is a great foam cleanser for daily, gentle cleansing. While you can't expect a powerful cleanse, if it suits your skin, it can be really fantastic.
