I have combination sensitive skin with large pores, lacking hydration but producing excess oil. For a low pH foam cleanser, it lathers incredibly well! I found it convenient that I didn't need to use a bubble maker. It seems quite gentle, doesn't it? Often when I switch cleansers, my face burns or tingles, but this product didn't cause any of those reactions at all! However, it seems low pH cleansers might not be suitable for my skin type. Despite having combination skin with excess oil, I noticed an increase in both small and large blemishes, so I had to stop using it after about two weeks. Also, the scent was somewhat reminiscent of... dish soap? It was a bit off-putting. For those whose skin agrees with low pH products, this could work well as a morning cleanser or second-step cleanser! - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinJun 13, 2021
True to its claim of being gentle, I experienced no tingling sensation at all while using it. My skin felt hydrated throughout. Among the low pH cleansers I've tried, this one leaves minimal residue on the skin. I can't think of any particular drawbacks... If I had to mention something, it would be the characteristic scent typical of low pH cleansers. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2021
As someone with combination skin - oily on the nose but extremely dry on the cheeks and chin - I've always preferred a squeaky clean feel over slippery textures, which led me to stick with bar soaps. When I first tried this cleanser, I was impressed by how it made the dry areas on my cheeks and chin feel soft and smooth, effectively removing dead skin cells. While cleansing, there was a slight feeling of a thin layer left on the skin, but it was more tolerable than other low pH cleansers I've used. Most importantly, it eliminated the deep dryness I used to experience with bar soaps. The tube is cleverly designed - it's not rigid like toothpaste packaging, but rather returns to its shape when touched, making storage convenient. I didn't experience any burning sensation or tingling around my eyes. The generous amount suggests it'll last a while, even with twice-daily use. On the downside, after continued use, it seemed like my skin developed a tolerance. The dry areas on my cheeks started to feel a bit rough. Interestingly, it appears to work better for oily skin types with long-term use. I also noticed 2-3 small blemishes appearing between my eyebrows, though I can't say for certain if this product was the cause. Lastly, it doesn't produce the rich, abundant lather I was hoping for. If you decide to use this product, I'd recommend pairing it with a foam-making tool to enhance your cleansing experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2021
I have dry skin and usually find that slightly acidic products work well for me! The texture and scent are similar to the light green Round A'Round foam cleanser. After using this product for two weeks, I was pleasantly surprised by how well it cleansed and how good it felt. I had a few small blemishes, but after switching to this low pH cleanser, my skin definitely felt calmer and became smoother. I'm really satisfied! The formula itself has a hydrating quality, so if you typically find your skin feeling dry, using this might eliminate that tight feeling after washing. I've always trusted Mediheal products, but receiving this as part of The Hwahae Testers and finding it suits my sensitive skin so well makes me even happier! There's nothing to complain about! Even those with acne-prone, sensitive, and dry skin should find this suitable, so I recommend everyone give it a try. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2021
* Skin type: Combination, oily T-zone in summer, extremely dry cheeks in winter. (Also have atopic dermatitis due to cold allergy) - Texture Moisturizing and soft texture, similar to a typical low pH cleansing foam Feels like it creates soap-like bubbles - Hydration (Moisture) True to its name as a soothing hydrating foam cleanser, it's very moisturizing The texture doesn't break apart like alkaline foam cleansers, but has a stretchy, moist feel Perfect for those worried about losing all moisture and oil after cleansing, or those wanting a light and hydrating morning cleanse It truly lives up to its name, focusing on hydration As someone with oily skin, I don't mind the tight feeling after cleansing But after using this moisturizing cleanser, I now find powder-heavy or alkaline cleansers a bit drying That's how good it is in terms of hydration - Scent Some people are sensitive to the scent, but I'm not. It smells exactly like the famous Round A'Round low pH cleansing foam - The cleanser itself is gentle, great for morning cleansing and recommended for those who don't wear heavy makeup. It has a fresh texture that cleanses well, though those with very oily skin might find it lacking. In winter, even those with extremely dry skin shouldn't feel much tightness after use - Cleansing power When wearing just sunscreen, cleansing twice (without oil or water cleansers) seemed to remove it fairly well, though not perfectly - Feels like it fills pores with moisture. Given its name 'Soothing Baobab', it seems to address deep dehydration through cleansing. Considering its price on Hwahae, it's worth it for a low pH cleanser. The amount is also quite generous Recommended if you're looking for a gentle and moisturizing foam cleanser! 🔥 Must read Just because it's low pH doesn't mean it will prevent acne for everyone. Some people with dry skin need to remove sebum and clean pores to prevent acne, while those with oily skin need cleansers that clean pores to reduce acne. I initially thought all low pH cleansers were good, but as someone with combination dehydrated skin, I found that cleansers that clean pores and remove sebum work better for me and prevent acne. Low pH cleansers are recommended for those who need to gently remove surface dirt and oil, or for those with super sensitive skin! - Cleansing power As I have combination skin, I sometimes feel like it doesn't clean my oily T-zone and chin thoroughly, leaving me feeling a bit uncomfortable in the evening. While I do recommend it for morning cleansing, my skin produces oil even in the morning, so I found this aspect disappointing. To be fair, it's a soothing cleanser meant to cleanse without tightness and provide hydration, so you shouldn't expect it to remove oil or sebum. - Lather ⭐️ Although this was a gifted product, the lack of lather was frustrating. It barely lathers no matter how much you try to work it up by hand. Oddly enough, while it doesn't lather when you're trying to create foam, it suddenly produces a lot of foam when you're rinsing it off. It's like the bubbles keep coming no matter how much you rinse, which is both amusing and annoying. It's like shampooing with your eyes closed and someone keeps squeezing more shampoo onto your head. Those with sensitive skin might be better off using a cleansing device or foam maker instead of trying to lather it by hand. - Acne I guess I'm just not compatible with low pH or moisturizing cleansers that focus on functions other than cleansing... Using this, I couldn't properly control or remove sebum, which led to clogged pores and more acne 😡 While it did feel hydrating and soothing, as mentioned before, I can't recommend this cleanser for those with oily skin As someone with oily skin, this cleanser didn't meet my expectations.. - This is a very basic low pH cleanser, so don't expect improvements in skin texture or pore size. It's just a basic, no-frills low pH foam cleanser. Don't buy it with high expectations. However, since it focuses on soothing and hydration, it's recommended for those with very dry skin who dislike the tight feeling after cleansing, or for those always feeling like their cleansers strip everything from their skin and are looking for a moisturizing option However, it's not at all a cleanser that removes oil and cleans pores thoroughly, so please keep this in mind when purchasing. Consider this before buying. I highly recommend purchasing a bubble maker! - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinMar 9, 2021
As a low pH cleanser, it lathers well and doesn't feel too slippery, which I really liked. It strikes a nice balance - not too little foam to be inconvenient, and not so slick that it feels unsatisfying. For me, it was just right! True to its gentle nature, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after cleansing. Since I don't use low pH cleansers for deep cleansing anyway, I was quite satisfied with its cleansing effectiveness. As a bonus, I loved the packaging color when I first opened it - it's my favorite! I was expecting a fresh scent to match the packaging, but it wasn't quite there... not yet, at least. Compared to non-low pH cleansers, the foam is less dense and the cleansing power is slightly lower. Using a foam maker enhances the experience. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2021
I'm so grateful to have been chosen as one of The Hwahae Testers! (I've put my heart into this review and written my honest feedback!) 1. Cleansing effectiveness While it's gentle and moisturizing, I have combination skin, so I usually use a foam cleanser that leaves my skin squeaky clean. Being low pH, I thought it might not be as effective in cleansing. So, I first removed my makeup thoroughly, rinsed with water, and then used this product. It worked perfectly fine this way! 2. Fragrance I loved the scent! It's totally my style! There's a subtle, powdery fragrance that lingers after washing, which I found quite pleasant (though this may vary from person to person). 3. Low pH Given that 'low pH' and 'soothing' were in the product name, I expected a clear gel texture. But when I squeezed it out, it was actually a rich, creamy type. This was quite surprising! 4. No tightness I've always used cleansing foams that leave my skin feeling squeaky clean, but recently I've noticed my skin feeling tight. However, this foam doesn't give that tight feeling at all! I think it would be great for those with dry skin, or anyone who feels tightness right after washing. I didn't experience any immediate tightness after using it myself. Cleansing power...? While it might not cleanse as thoroughly, the gentle ingredients and moisturizing effect make up for this small drawback. Just make sure to do a thorough first cleanse if you're wearing makeup! When I used it in the morning or before going out, I noticed my makeup applied better afterwards! Using a pore brush while cleansing can improve its cleansing effectiveness. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2021
As someone with super sensitive skin who can't use just any foam cleanser, I found this one to be incredibly gentle with no irritation. I was also satisfied that it left my skin feeling less tight after cleansing compared to other products. Recently, I've been looking for a low pH foam cleanser to protect my sensitive skin from mask-related issues, and I was pleased that this one produced more lather than other low pH cleansers I've tried. Due to its low pH nature, the foam created using a bubble maker isn't as rich as regular foam cleansers. However, its cleansing effectiveness is so good that I didn't find this to be a significant drawback. Because of my sensitive skin, I use a bubble maker for cleansing. I noticed that when I applied the foam to my nose and gently massaged it, my blackheads seemed to become much less noticeable. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMar 8, 2021
<The Hwahae Testers Review> As someone with super sensitive skin, I always stick to low pH cleansers, and I absolutely loved how gentle this one was (no burning sensation or extreme dryness after washing). What I really appreciated was that despite its excellent cleansing effectiveness, it didn't strip away my skin's natural oil and moisture balance like some cleansers do. Despite being a low pH cleanser, it lathered up quite well. Some products barely foam up and you need to use a lot, but with this one, just a small amount was enough for a good lather. The scent wasn't overpowering or irritating. It was so mild that those without sensitive skin might wonder if it's actually cleansing effectively. With my dry skin, I can use this product for both morning and evening cleansing, but those with oily skin might want to use it just for their morning routine. I was thrilled that it didn't cause any blemishes, redness, or dryness after use. It was great how it cleansed while still leaving some hydration on my face. I'm 90% sure I'll keep buying and using this product. There's not really anything negative to say... Though those with oily skin might find it a bit insufficient for their needs. - Hwahae UserDry SkinAcne SkinMar 8, 2021
Thick white solid cleanser Gentle foam feels mild and non-irritating Unscented, so no artificial fragrance to worry about I use low pH products for acne, and while it doesn't give that squeaky clean feeling, There's no tightness after cleansing Not very foamy The amount of lather corresponds to how much you squeeze out Slightly slippery feeling after rinsing, maybe due to the low pH Weak cleansing power for makeup removal (but effective for basic cleansing) No exfoliating effect Using the 60-second cleansing method reduced my blemishes, and the gentle formula showed results About two pea-sized amounts of gel worked well for me
