After driving in the strong summer sun, I developed dark spots on my left cheekbone area, but not on the right. Thanks to the Prevage Overnight Cream with Idebenone, I'm really enjoying my skincare routine these days. I use it for dark spots and blemishes, and I'm seeing the spots gradually fade, pores shrink, and a lifting effect. Idebenone > Coenzyme Q10 > Vitamin C - it's the most potent antioxidant ingredient available, but it's unstable. Elizabeth Arden stabilized it for product use, launching around 2009 I think. For me, the night cream has been the most effective in the Prevage line (haven't tried the Intensive Repair Serum yet). The packaging dispenses cream without air contact (see photo), lowering slightly with each use. The color? Close to orange, like Idebenone. Usage: Only at night! Cleansing → Prevage Water Essence → Prevage Overnight Cream, wait 30 minutes → Visible Difference Moisture Cream. When you apply Prevage, it feels like a fresh fruit mask on your face - refreshing with a slight tingle. You can feel the ingredients spreading around your skin (avoid eye and lip areas). After 2-3 minutes, it tightens the skin like a lifting effect. You can sense the performance within your skin. After 30 minutes, I feel some dryness, so I gently layer on Visible Difference Moisture Cream, careful not to disturb the Prevage cream coating. Expecting a cheap and good product is greedy. Your skin rewards you visually for what you invest. It's expensive and sometimes hard to get due to being imported from the USA, with occasional stock-outs. It's humid in summer so I use it alone at night, but it's dry in other seasons. A few years ago, I bought this Idebenone product for $170 and only used it for a few days before abandoning it due to dryness. Last month, I absent-mindedly applied it one night when my dark spots were bothering me, and the next morning I was surprised - it was actually good! Why hadn't I been using this? So I started using it every night, but now I think my skin has thinned? These days I use a pattern of applying it for three nights, then using a ceramide cream for a night or two. Using the same line as Prevage would be ideal, but it's pricey. I don't use just this product. I've tried it with other Prevage line products like the Water Essence and Daily Serum that I received when purchasing Prevage before. Tip: The first product you apply to your skin is the most effective. That's why all cosmetics companies advertise to use their first essence, like SK-II Pitera or Sulwhasoo First Care Activating Serum. When I apply Prevage Daily Serum + Overnight Cream, I feel less of the skin performance effect compared to when I apply just the Overnight Cream on bare skin. Ideally, you'd thoroughly cleanse and apply the cream immediately, but to ensure there's no residue from cleansing or towels and to open up hydration pathways, I wipe with Prevage Water Essence on a cotton pad. I only purchase when the department store sends me texts about Prevage 1+1 promotions. I bought the Overnight 1+1 deal during their Christmas and year-end promotion in December. Great find!
