โฃ Current Scalp Condition Sensitive scalp with mild seborrheic dermatitis due to 1n years of continuous coloring/perming. (Regular supermarket shampoos wreak havoc on my scalp) Currently no blemishes. (They pop up occasionally) However, I often have an itchy scalp and scalp odor. I wash my hair between 10 PM and midnight. About 15 hours after washing, I feel a slight oiliness, but my hair doesn't become extremely greasy or flat. + Scalp odor persists. If I had to categorize, it's a sensitive, seborrheic, oily scalp. Neutral ๐ฆฑ Oily โฃ Freshness Unlike some neutral or slightly acidic shampoos that can leave your hair feeling damp and limp even after washing, this doesn't give that sensation. โฃ Ingredients Silicone-free, PEG-free, sulfate-free! โฃ Soft Hair Even with a perm, my hair feels soft without tangling. โฃ Doesn't lather well -> Leads to excessive use / High regular price With other products, I used to use 1.5-2 pumps even when my hair was long enough to reach below my chest (with average thickness) - I don't use much despite my style of creating lots of lather. But this product doesn't create much lather. The product itself feels runny, and the lather doesn't feel rich or bubbly, it just runs off. Now, even with hair length between my shoulder and elbow, I need to pump more than 2.5 times to create lather. Even with pre-washing, it doesn't lather well.. Even when the scalp is thoroughly wet, it doesn't lather well..lol I heard somewhere that all cleansers remove dirt with foam, so I wonder if it can cleanse effectively with such weak lather. I can't even imagine how much those with extremely oily scalps + long, thick hair would need to use. Especially if you frequently pre-wash... I bought a 500ml bottle for about 18,500 won on a social commerce site, but considering the quantity + lather quality, it seems expensive. โฃ Scalp odor detectable after 12 hours Since it's fragrance-free, the scent itself isn't strong. Maybe a hint of rosemary? As a result, it doesn't effectively mask the scalp odor that gradually emerges over time. This is too obvious to be a con for me, but those who are stressed by odors should take note. (Except for those who wash their hair morning and night, or those who say they don't have much scalp odor) If you have plans the next evening, or if you're expecting to work late, use a different shampoo...haha As you're vigorously scrubbing your head, you'll definitely think: 'Am I really washing my hair right now? There's no lather...?' When that happens, don't rinse it all off immediately. Instead, pour some water over it and try to create more lather, focusing on the scalp. As someone with oily skin, I found this cleanser to be incredibly effective. It washes off really well, which I absolutely loved. I definitely recommend it! I can't think of any particular downsides. It seems like it would be suitable for those with oily skin types.
