Since it's not really a long-lasting formula, when applied over matte lipstick, it did tend to transfer and didn't have great staying power.

I really liked the formula as it enhances the glow and texture without feeling slippery or sticky. While it doesn't soften dead skin cells on the lips, it does help to calm rough lips, making it suitable for use on bare lips. It also works well when applied over makeup. I found it great for dry lips - applying a thin layer of matte lipstick and then topping it with this oil creates a glossy lip look. The smooth tip on one side made it easy to apply a thicker layer when desired.

Being a lip oil, it fades quickly, so you need to reapply frequently.

I've found the perfect solution for those matte lipsticks that were too drying to use. This product gives just the right amount of glow and works wonderfully.

For heavily pigmented lips, it might slightly remove color. If you keep reapplying, it can get messy. In such cases, instead of reapplying tint, it looks prettier to roughly apply a light lipstick and layer this oil on top. If you want to apply a moderate amount of oil, use the side of the applicator tip for a more controlled application.

First off, the cap isn't very secure. Even when closed, it feels like it could easily open again. If it's rolling around in your bag (or lying on its side), it might leak. However, I keep mine upright in a drawstring pouch, so I haven't experienced any leaks. The applicator has silicone on one side and a felt-tip on the other, like a tint applicator. I don't understand why they designed it this way. When you apply oil over tinted lips with the silicone side, the tint gets all over the felt side. Even if you try to clean the silicone tip before putting it back, it doesn't get completely clean. Why make it different on both sides? If both sides were silicone, you could clean it thoroughly and put it back hygienically. With only one silicone side, it's just unnecessarily troublesome. When applying over other lip products, it's more hygienic to dispense some product first. I carry a lip brush, so I either apply it with my fingernail or use the brush. I never use the applicator tip except on bare lips.

There's no stickiness, making it super comfortable to wear, and it doesn't pill or clump up. I bought it to add shine over lipstick or as a lip balm replacement, and the glow is incredible! I prefer tube or pot-type lip balms that I can apply with my fingers, but when I'm feeling lazy, this is perfect as a light, easy-to-apply alternative without any shimmer. My lips feel so comfortable. Being a vegan product gives it a healthier feel, and I've never had an atopic reaction while using it. I'll definitely repurchase when it's on sale after I finish this one.

It's just great for everyday use. It's versatile and makes my lips look moisturized when I apply it regularly, which I love.

The staying power isn't sufficient for nighttime use, so it's better suited for daytime. The issue is that it can feel greasy and transfer easily when eating or drinking... This makes me reach for a lighter, fresher lip balm instead, even if it's less moisturizing. During the day, I find myself wanting something lighter, and at night, something heavier. So right now, it feels a bit in-between. However, I think it'll be great for going out when the weather gets colder and the wind picks up!

The lip oil feels moisturizing and gentle. I've been alternating it with the Ssangbba lip oil, and while I can't pinpoint the exact difference, the Lip Relief Oil seems a bit... thinner and milder. Even though it's a lip oil, it doesn't cause dry, painful dead skin cells like some tinted ones do. When I apply it before bed, my lips are dry in the morning but much less so than on days I don't use it (which is to be expected, right?). Still, a night lip mask is more effective for overnight use! It's not completely free of a slick or heavy feeling, but considering how hydrating it is, the staying power is decent. Best of all, it's tasteless and fragrance-free, making it perfect for casual daytime use. The quantity is surprisingly generous, so it lasts a long time, and you only need a tiny amount for ample hydration.

It's great to use before bedtime, after exfoliating when your lips might be a bit red, or when you want to add an extra layer of moisture over your lip makeup.

This product is so good that I can't find any downsides. There's nothing to complain about!
