The lingering scent is lovely. It's a bit unsettling at first. I really wish they'd release a pure musk version without the peony...

I wish it was just musk. Personally, I'm not a fan of Jo Malone's peony scent either, and here too, the peony subtly emerges from within the musk, making me a bit queasy. The musk scent is wonderful, but the peony is too strong at first. I have to endure the queasiness and wait for the dry-down.

As a musk lover, I find this fragrance more than just so-so. It has a cozy, clean fabric scent at its base. To be precise, it's like a blend of fresh fabric softener and musk. Unlike some musks that can be sharp, this one doesn't have that piercing quality.

Overall, it's a safe choice for daily use.
