I bought this mainly for hydration since I don't have dark spots, and I'm impressed! When I apply it at night, my skin stays moisturized until the next day. The hydration power is truly remarkable! While this might be fine for those without atopic dermatitis or oily skin, unfortunately, I have atopic skin. After applying it and sleeping for a few hours, I woke up to find the areas with atopic dermatitis incredibly itchy, slightly tingling, and inflamed with redness. I've washed my face and applied medication, but if this continues, I might need to see a doctor. Also, it's quite rich, so it may not be suitable for those with oily skin. Absolutely avoid if you have atopic skin. If you must use it, only apply to areas without atopic dermatitis. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinJul 11, 2020
My skin had melasma spread widely like dark patches. After using Domina Cream for a month, I can clearly see the color of the melasma gradually fading. It hasn't completely disappeared as if it never existed, but it has lightened enough that I'm satisfied with how my makeup looks on my skin now. It works even better on light freckles. A small amount is sufficient for application. The area where I apply the cream starts to have a burning sensation after 1-2 minutes. However, I continue to use it because the results are so good. For maximum effectiveness, apply it right before bed and turn off the indoor lights immediately. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinJul 8, 2020
Just to clarify, it's Domina Cream, not Dominas Cream. I'm mentioning this to avoid any confusion, even though I'm aware of it. I used it for exactly one month. I applied it every night from midnight until 7-8 AM, focusing on my blemish areas using a cotton swab to minimize hand contact. I have dark patches extending from under my eyes across my cheekbones to my jawline. It's quite stressful, and my skin is reddish, thin, and super sensitive. Because of this, I really struggled... From day one, perhaps because it's medication rather than a cosmetic (it's Domina Cream, purchased from a pharmacy), my face became red and swollen. I naively thought, 'It must be working,' and persevered. Every morning, I'd wash my face with soap as soon as I opened the curtains. I've never been so diligent about applying anything before. The instructions say fluorescent light is okay, but everyone around me disagrees. I've heard everything from 'I've never seen anyone who's had success with Domina Cream' to 'You shouldn't even be exposed to fluorescent light.' I avoided going out during daylight hours, reapplied sunscreen every two hours, and when I absolutely had to go out, I covered my face with a scarf and dashed to the car. I even exercised after 8 PM... Despite all this effort... comparing the photos... well, the results are disappointing. I thought, 'Maybe it's faded a bit...', but no one around me had any positive feedback. Even now, my skin often gets red and swollen (less so if I use more than just toner, like 3 basic products or add a cream), and after washing, my skin often feels sore and irritated even during the day. The instructions say if there's no response after 2 months of use, it's ineffective. If that's the case, I might just throw it away in frustration... I've become more of a hermit trying to get rid of these blemishes than I was during COVID. I'll give it another month to complete the two-month trial and come back with an update... Here are the monthly progress photos. Here's my 3-month update... I've been keeping a detailed diary with dates. I've been extremely diligent with sun protection. COVID and the 50+ days of monsoon season helped. I'm still applying Domina Cream every night at midnight and washing it off first thing in the morning. Now, I don't even feel the tingling sensation anymore. It seems my skin has fully adapted. The issue is, looking at my old photos, I didn't feel there was much to report. The photos look identical to the 'before' pictures. But I'll post them anyway. In order: the 'big rock face' is the initial photo, the white outfit is after 1 month, and the black outfit is after 3 months. Considering I spent over 40,000 won on this, which isn't cheap, and was even more rigorous with sun protection, it's quite disappointing. I applied it so diligently that I had to buy more cotton swabs, but it seems I might be one of those people for whom it doesn't work. Over time, the cream has slightly changed color from pure white to a bit ivory. I remember it being snow-white initially, but now after 3 months, it has a slight yellow tint. The instructions say to use it within 6 months, but I'm not sure if I should continue this ordeal. I've avoided the sun so much that I might be calcium deficient - my hair is starting to fall out excessively. It's quite a dilemma. With this level of dedication, there should be noticeable results... Plus, the skin irritation is severe... Even now, my skin stings and feels sore...
