I was faced with the surprising reality that the UV protection levels of sunscreens vary greatly. While searching for a highly protective sunscreen product, I found that the most suitable ones were Japanese products. Although I was concerned about radiation, I decided to prioritize the level of protection. The prices themselves were quite affordable, but purchasing them through overseas direct purchase meant the shipping costs were as much as the product itself. Haha. Nevertheless, I tried using the most common Anessa sunscreen, and although it was a sunscreen gel, it still had a slightly oily feel when used in the middle of summer (though it was still much better than regular sunscreens). I wished for an even more refreshing product, and luckily, the Kose sunscreen was available at a reasonable price with free shipping, so I decided to purchase it. There were two types, a sun essence and a sun gel, and the reviews suggested the sun gel was a bit more refreshing than the essence, so I opted for the sun gel. The usage experience was incredibly refreshing. The formula is jelly-like, but once applied, it leaves an incredibly matte finish! #If you're looking for a matte sunscreen with great protection, this is a must-try! It finishes so refreshingly that there's also relatively little oiliness that comes up later. Even if you buy it and it doesn't suit your face, you don't need to worry about the large volume, as it's great for using on the body as well. There's absolutely no stickiness, so it's even better to use as a body sunscreen than regular body sunscreens. The volume is really large. They say it's incredibly cheap to buy locally, but for me, purchasing it through direct import, it's not extremely cheap, but still a good value considering the volume. Ultimately, the high protection level is the biggest advantage. Even though you can't see the protection level, the test results show it's effective, so I can trust it. Zero white cast! When you rub the sunscreen with your hands, it's completely transparent, and when applied to the face, there's no chalky or white cast at all! It's just a natural, bare-faced look. Those who dislike the white cast feeling of sunscreens will be very satisfied with the transparency of this product.

There is a slight stinging sensation. I'm not sure if it's due to the alcohol-like feel, but it has a slight sting when first applying, and a bit more of a stinging sensation when reapplying. There's also a slightly drying feeling. When using it before makeup, there's a sense of it pilling up. It seems more pronounced when hastily applying it in a rush. Since it's so matte, the surface dries up immediately, and I found that lightly applying my usual sunscreen on top helped it apply smoothly for foundation and prevented the pilling. Even though this was purchased solely for the high protection, it's still acceptable! If that wasn't the case, I definitely wouldn't buy it again. It might have been an issue with the particular batch. So next time, I plan to try the sun essence instead of the sun gel, without giving up on this brand.

The sole reason to strongly recommend this product is just its exceptional UV protection level.
