It effectively removes dead skin cells without any fuss. I love the scent too! I don't think I'll be using any other product. You need to be careful not to get it in your mouth. It has an artificial taste that makes you want to spit it out. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 29, 2023
Hydration: Even when essential lip balms didn't help my chapped lips, applying a generous layer of this lip mask before bed made a noticeable difference. When I had excess product, I applied it to my cuticles, which helped soothe any roughness. Longevity: Amazingly, a thick layer of about two spoonfuls lasted until morning! Even a moderate application lasted longer than other lip balms, reducing the need for frequent reapplication. Design: It's as cute as a sorbet. The texture is great, and the spatula with its rubber tip makes scooping easy. The included case keeps things hygienic, which is a plus. Scent: As it inevitably gets into your mouth a bit, the strong artificial fragrance can be overwhelming. Apply it thickly at night, and thinly when going outdoors to avoid attracting dust. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinDec 12, 2023
Since my lips are always chapped no matter what I apply in fall and winter, I decided to try this famous sleeping mask. I usually prefer lime and citrus scents, so I chose this over the popular berry option. - It's great that it comes with an applicator. It feels sturdy. - While not dramatically effective, I'm still using it and think it's pretty good. - At first, I found the scent a bit weak and artificial, but after using it, I realized it's better this way since it goes on your lips. A stronger scent might have been unpleasant. - If you're a fan of citrus, you'll probably like the fragrance :) - It's such a well-known product that it's the first thing that comes to mind when looking for alternatives. - It's a safe choice without any major drawbacks (which isn't easy to find). - It's too glossy to use as a multipurpose product during the day. - The regular price (though you can buy it at a discount). - Since it inevitably goes into your mouth, the somewhat artificial scent leads to an artificial taste (not very pleasant). I wish the lime version had a more refreshing scent and taste, maybe with less of a metallic note. - You can purchase it at a discounted price. - I apply it generously to my lips before going to bed. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinJun 30, 2023
Whether I use lipstick or tint, I always struggled with excessive dead skin cells appearing over time. I used to apply various lip balms before bed and carry one with me during the day. But since using this product, I hardly need lip balm anymore! When I apply it generously at night, my lips stay hydrated all day long the next day. I love that it comes with a spatula for hygienic application. The product melts easily on the lips with body heat when applied using the spatula. I'm planning to make this my go-to nighttime lip treatment from now on. The scent is a bit artificial, but I enjoy sweet fragrances, so it doesn't bother me much. Don't be stingy - apply it liberally, and the next day your lips will be moisturized no matter what lip product you use! - Hwahae UserDehydrated SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinJun 2, 2023
When applying it thickly on your lips, except for the berry shade... Your husband or boyfriend might be in for a surprise with blue or green-tinted lips! It does a great job at removing dead skin cells though, haha. Since I have atopic dermatitis, leaving it on for too long can cause my lips to ooze and peel. I have to use it for less than an hour, just enough to exfoliate, then quickly follow up with a moisturizer! It's supposed to be apple-scented, but... it smells more like cheap candy or children's stationery store cosmetics. My boyfriend says he likes the fragrance though. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAcne SkinApr 27, 2020
I've never seen a lip balm that softens dead skin cells on the lips as well as this one! I have such dry lips that they crack even in the middle of summer! Although I constantly have flaky skin due to my habit of picking at my lips, when I apply this before bed, my lips are completely fine when I wake up!!! The scent is a bit artificial! I'm also not sure what the difference is between the various colors... If you try to save product by applying just a thin layer before bed, it can actually make the dead skin cells swell and feel stuck to your lips! So I really recommend applying a thick layer before sleeping and then exfoliating when you wake up~ - Hwahae UserCombination SkinAtopy SkinAcne SkinDec 29, 2019
It's truly amazing for exfoliating dead skin cells. When I apply it before bed, I notice a significant improvement in my lip condition the next day... it's incredible! The scent is too much like dish soap...? I thought the smell was fine in the store when I bought it, but when I got home, I realized I didn't like it much... haha When you apply it before bed and then gently rub your lips with your fingers during your morning shower, the dead skin cells just fall right off. You can do this while washing your face with lukewarm water too, but it's more effective in the shower. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinDec 21, 2019
Well, the best part was that when I applied it generously before bed, I woke up with all my dead skin cells softened and ready for easy removal. Even when applied before makeup, it exfoliates surprisingly quickly. The texture is gentle, and it feels comfortable on the lips too. I'd say the biggest advantage is its ability to remove dead skin cells without causing any irritation! Since it's a sleeping mask, it doesn't have any sun protection, so you can't use it during the day, which is a bit inconvenient. And the smell... When you first apply it, there's a bit of a gum-like scent that makes you feel like you've been chewing gum and just spit it out. But after using it for a while, I got used to it. - Hwahae UserOily SkinAcne SkinSensitive SkinMay 5, 2019
This might be the best lip care product I've ever tried. Apply it before bed, rinse it off in the morning, and wow... My lip wrinkles have disappeared, leaving me with incredibly smooth lips! The scent is quite artificial, which might be off-putting for some people. Apply your regular lip balm first, then layer this product thickly on top. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinSep 2, 2018
First off, it's convenient and hygienic with the built-in silicone tip. The formula is quite rich, but it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating when applied. It spreads thinly rather than thickly, so it's not overwhelming. When I apply it before bed and wake up, there's some white dead skin cells on my lips, but I can gently rub them off with water while washing my face, removing them without irritation. The disappointing part is that I originally went to buy the grapefruit scent, but when I smelled them, all except the apple-lime had a slight alcohol-like scent. I ended up choosing the apple-lime fragrance because it smelled the best.
