As someone with seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis, I find this product fantastic! The ingredients are top-notch, it's lightweight, and applies smoothly. It's so gentle on my skin that I plan to keep using it long-term. The quantity is less than I expected and it's quite pricey. I only use it in the evening, but I've already gone through a quarter of the product in just two weeks. This review highlights the product's effectiveness for sensitive skin conditions, but also points out concerns about its value for money. The reviewer appreciates the gentle formula and good ingredients, which are crucial for those with skin issues like seborrheic dermatitis and folliculitis. However, they feel the product is used up quickly, making it an expensive option for regular use. - pi****Dry SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsInner DrynessWrinkles/ElasticityRednessDead Skin CellsRecommendedJun 29, 2025
1. Instant Skin Soothing + Barrier Repair Quickly calms skin experiencing burning sensations, redness, and tingling. 2. Rich Hydration Deeply moisturizes from within, leaving the surface feeling firm and supple. 3. Low pH + Non-irritating Formula Free from potential irritants like artificial fragrances, alcohol, and parabens. Safe for use after skin blemishes or immediately following cosmetic procedures. 4. Non-sticky + Fast Absorption Initially feels slightly rich but finishes with a fresh feel after absorption. Absorbs even better on dry days or when dealing with dead skin cells. 5. Adaptable to Various Skin Conditions Whether your skin suddenly acts up, dead skin cells appear, or your skin feels tight. → This one product covers it all! Highly recommended for sensitive / irritated skin!! 1. May Feel Heavy on Oily Skin Great for fall and winter, but might feel too rich for summer or oily skin types. → Recommend using sparingly or as a night treatment only. 2. Richer Texture for a Serum Closer to a semi-cream consistency than a typical lightweight serum. → May pill if not applied in thin layers. 3. Long-term Results May Be Subtle While it provides immediate soothing effects, those expecting "dramatic changes" with prolonged use might find the results less noticeable. Essential for Post-Treatment / Dermatologist Visit Recovery After laser treatments, extractions, peels, or excessive sun exposure, combine this serum + a low pH toner + a gentle moisturizer → ZERO irritation + accelerated skin barrier recovery. - oh*******Oily SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinSebum/BlackheadsInner DrynessEnlarged PoresRecommendedJun 12, 2025
It's fantastic for calming the skin. I've tried many cica serums, but this product has been the most effective for soothing and regenerating my skin. It's really great, but if you apply too much, it can feel a bit sticky. When used in moderation, it's not sticky at all. Apply a thin layer to avoid any stickiness. - dd***Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsRecommendedJun 10, 2025
A product that ticks all the boxes - texture, effectiveness, fragrance, you name it. Uriage never disappoints! The price point... Seriously, 30ml for over 30,000 won? It feels a bit excessive. As always, Uriage delivers quality, but the cost might make you think twice. While the product itself is impressive in every aspect, the price tag could be a hurdle for some. It's a classic case of getting what you pay for, but whether it fits your budget is another question entirely. - da******Dehydrated SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedMay 30, 2025
I've finished the entire bottle before writing this review! This serum is highly recommended for those with combination dehydrated skin. In fact, it seems to be suitable for all skin types. It's not greasy, making it great for oily skin, while those with dry skin can simply layer a more moisturizing cream on top. First off, I didn't experience any blemishes, and my skin felt very hydrated. True to its name as a repair serum, it seems to be effective for both hydration and soothing. It's a serum you can use comfortably throughout all four seasons. The texture isn't completely watery, but rather slightly slippery and runny like thin mucus, which seems to make the moisturizing effect last longer. I was worried the slippery texture might leave a sticky finish, but it absorbs quickly with almost no stickiness, making it great to use before makeup. Among the hydrating serums I've tried, this one seems to keep my skin feeling moisturized the longest. The tiny amount is the biggest disappointment. I deducted one star because of the price and quantity. I found myself using it up incredibly quickly as I applied it generously. It's not even particularly cheap, which is frustrating. If they offered a larger size with good discounts, I'd definitely repurchase. For now, I'll continue my search for other good hydrating serums. Apply a suitable amount when your skin is still slightly damp after washing for best results. - he*********Combination SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsDark CirclesEnlarged PoresRecommendedMay 4, 2025
I tried this serum after it was recommended at Olive Young, and it's been amazing! It calms my skin instantly and works even better than I expected. I've been using it every morning and night. It creates a great base for makeup and soothes my skin so well. I'm extremely satisfied with this serum. The dropper is a bit short, so it becomes a bit challenging to squeeze out and apply when you're almost finished with the product. - 45********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRecommendedApr 15, 2025
Wonderfully moisturizing texture Didn't cause any blemishes and felt gentle on the skin When used with Uriage's depilatory cream, my skin gets an incredible glow Helped improve my skin barrier Too expensive for the amount you get The scent is, how should I put it... mixed with the texture, it's a bit like mucus. In any case, it's not pleasant Try applying it together with Uriage cream! - js**********Combination SkinSebum/BlackheadsDark CirclesInner DrynessRednessRecommendedApr 15, 2025
Using this product really improves your overall complexion. I've probably gone through about five bottles already! There's not really anything to complain about... though if you have dry skin, it might feel a bit dehydrating in winter. It works great when paired with Uriage's Cica Daily Repair Gel Cream. - jc*******Combination SkinSensitive SkinApr 9, 2025
I bought this after seeing good reviews and ingredients, thinking it would be decent, but it doesn't seem to suit me, unfortunately. I've only used it four times so far. While it absorbs quickly, I felt a lot of deep dryness and tingling even after applying cream, which made me suspicious. I wonder if it's due to a specific ingredient. Anyway, the more I used it, the dryness didn't go away. After the last use, when I applied makeup, I saw dead skin cells rising up as if my skin was in a drought, so I stopped using it. Perhaps due to the dryness, I even got small wounds on my cheeks. My skin is quite sensitive, but still, I expected hydration, and got the opposite. I don't think I can use this anymore. - di****Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsWrinkles/ElasticityRednessRecommendedMar 22, 2025
1. As a beauty junkie who loves trying new products and leaving reviews everywhere, I'm always at risk of contact dermatitis. I hate getting antibiotics from the doctor, so I keep emergency products on hand. My go-to was Aestura's A-Cica 365 Soothing Cream topped with their Soothing Serum. 2. But you know what? These products got revamped. The serum switched from a pump to a dropper bottle. I needed to repurchase but wasn't thrilled about the new packaging. 3. I first tried this serum as a sample with my Uriage Xémose PSO Cream and Bariederm Cica-Gel Cream order. Initially, I thought it was just another hydrating serum. But when I applied it to my dermatitis, it worked far better than the Aestura A-Cica Soothing Serum. I immediately bought the full size as a replacement. 4. My skin barrier had been compromised for months, making life miserable. I've been calming my dermatitis by applying this Uriage Bariederm Cica Daily Serum, followed by either Uriage Bariederm Cica-Gel Cream, Avène Cicalfate+ SOS Cream, or a mix of both. Without visiting the doctor or using pharmacy ointments, I've seen significant improvement over weeks. It's hard to say if it's a personal victory or just great product efficacy, but it's definitely helped. 5. The texture is similar to typical hydrating serums or ampoules, quite fluid. It's most comparable to SNature's hydrating ampoule. The scent is characteristic of derma lines - not unpleasant, just that typical Uriage fragrance. If you're familiar with Uriage products, you'll recognize it. It's milder than Eucerin's scent, with a faint baby powder note that I like. It's also silicone-free. 6. While the product page emphasizes barrier strengthening, after months of use, I recommend it primarily for its excellent soothing effects, followed by its repair capabilities. It also provides a good oil-moisture balance suitable for aging skin. 7. Unlike other soothing serums that often lack hydration and make you worry about aging, this serum feels truly reassuring. It's different in a subtle but noticeable way. 8. I wish I'd taken before and after photos because my skin has improved so much. If you've been using Aestura's barrier serum, I think you'll notice a difference with this (suddenly feeling shy about the recommendation, but I mean it for those who've used that product!). 9. Moreover, when applied all over the face, it gives a firming sensation as if strengthening the skin barrier, and noticeably brightens the complexion. It's truly unique. If you have sensitive skin and struggle with dermatitis, give this a try. Even if you just prefer serums over barrier creams for daily use, this could be great for you. 11. This serum serves triple duty as a hydrating, barrier-strengthening, and soothing serum. If it provides the right oil-moisture balance for you, it could be a cost-effective option despite the higher price point, as you'd only need this one product instead of several. Unfortunately, it's not quite hydrating enough for me on its own, so I need to layer other products. FYI: The Cica-Gel Cream from the same line has been revamped and is already available overseas. I hope it comes to Korea soon - I'm really looking forward to it! @@ As someone who's struggled with atopy all my life, I have extremely dry skin prone to redness all over. Despite having scars from scratching and rough patches, I'm a 50-something woman who confidently wears swimsuits in summer. While I have more incompatible ingredients than compatible ones, I don't rely solely on EWG ratings to judge products. Instead, I check for ingredients I know don't work for me, and if I'm unsure, I just buy and try the product myself - that's the kind of impulsive beauty junkie I am!@ The price might be a concern, but compare prices between Naver Store and Olive Young. Set up Naver Shopping alerts for deals. My best deal was buying two bottles of this serum and getting a soon-to-expire Bariederm Cica-Gel Cream as a gift (for about 70,000 won). Since this serum serves as a hydrating, barrier, and soothing serum all in one, if it provides the right oil-moisture balance for you, it could actually save you money as you'd only need this one product.
