I've been trying out various whitening products lately. These days, many whitening products seem to be more oily and heavy. This product focuses on whitening as the primary goal, but it also seems to pay a lot of attention to hydration. My skin is on the drier side, but it's not too oily. This product has a formula that's just shy of being oily, if that makes sense. For a whitening product, it has excellent moisturizing properties, so it works well for me as someone who uses oil-free skincare. In the winter when I need a bit more oil, I can use this without causing any breakouts and it helps prevent dryness. The whitening effects after about 2 weeks weren't dramatically noticeable, but I did feel like my complexion looked a bit brighter starting from the 3rd day of use.
ConsThere is a slight oiliness to it. As I mentioned, the product focuses a lot on hydration, but the formula is definitely too heavy for oily skin types. Even for my normal-to-dry skin, using a full dropper's worth all over my face made it feel a bit too oily. I also noticed some small breakouts, especially on my forehead, after using this product, though I can't say for certain if it was the direct cause.
TipI find that using whitening essences and ampoules in conjunction with exfoliating toners and pads really boosts the synergistic effects. This is definitely true! And rather than using this product solely for whitening purposes, I think it would work well as a hydrating ampoule too.

I have a lot of inflammatory acne on my forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin. It's oily and sensitive (harsh cosmetics and skin medications make it flip out). At first, I was really worried that my skin would get messed up and flip out, but not at all!!! It wasn't stinging or itchy at all, and my face didn't get red. After cleansing, I applied a small amount to my forehead, cheeks, nose, and chin, and gently patted it in to absorb it (patting it in makes it absorb much faster!). I could feel the oiliness, and it spread on smoothly. On the first day I didn't notice my face looking brighter, but after about a week of using it, I was really surprised when I looked in the mirror. It didn't get super white, but my complexion definitely looked brighter. Since my face tends to be a bit yellow, this was a relief and made me really happy. After using it for about 2 weeks, my complexion looked brighter, though not dramatically whiter. It just had a nicer, lighter tone. The oiliness isn't overwhelming, so I think it would be fine for someone with oily skin to use. Additional: As for wrinkles, I have a bit of nasolabial folds, and I did feel like they looked a bit softer.
ConsOne downside I would point out is that the ampoule itself feels a bit oily, so I think it would be more effective for dry skin types rather than oily skin. Given the price, I didn't get the "Wow, my face is so much whiter!" effect, so I would only recommend this to someone who really wants to brighten their complexion a little bit. Since I'm a student, my wrinkles aren't super severe yet. I do have a slight nasolabial fold, but I didn't feel like it completely disappeared or smoothed out. Honestly, I probably wouldn't purchase this myself with my own money.
TipI used the Dokdo Toner and Aqua Squalane Moisturizer together with the ampoule! After cleansing, I would soak a cotton pad with the Dokdo Toner and gently wipe it over my face. Then I would apply the ampoule and let it absorb. Once it seemed absorbed, I'd follow up with the Aqua Squalane Moisturizer to finish. When I'd wake up the next day, my skin just looked so calm and settled - it was great! >>>If anyone has any questions, feel free to leave a comment!<<< >>I'll check and respond!<<
