Not recommended for removing eye makeup as it stings the eyes. The most disappointing aspect is that it doesn't seem to cleanse thoroughly. While it appears to remove everything on the surface, if you rub your skin before foam cleansing, you'll notice residue (probably from mineral sunscreen) rolling off like dead skin cells. Because of this, I had to use cleansing oil again. It likely won't remove everything with just foam cleansing, so it might be better suited for use with chemical sunscreens.

The essence is generously soaked into the pad. It's truly non-irritating. Despite being an embossing pad, it's incredibly soft. The pads are large enough that one is sufficient for the whole face.
