  Pros

  It's great to stock up when they're 3 for 9,000 won. I loved applying it generously at night and gently rubbing it off with a cotton swab or tissue in the morning to remove dead skin cells - it was oddly satisfying! I've been using it for over a year.

  Cons

  It becomes very runny over time This happened even though I didn't leave it unused for long... When first opened, it has a consistency similar to other lip essences, but gradually becomes so thin that it drips when applied thickly. This is extremely inconvenient. Moreover, after not using this runny Tosowoong lip balm for a few months, I tried it again recently and my lips started to itch. I noticed redness and a stinging sensation around the edges of my lips. (And it's not like I stored it improperly!)

  Tip

  Shaking the lip balm vigorously does help restore some of its consistency.

  As someone with chronic cheilitis, I've been on a never-ending quest for the perfect lip balm! One day, when I desperately needed some moisture and had forgotten my usual balm at home, I stumbled upon this product that was on sale as a three-pack. My first impression was fantastic - it glided on smoothly and gave my lips the most beautiful, intense shine. I received so many compliments and questions about what I was wearing on my lips. While the glossy effect doesn't last forever, it definitely outlasted many other lip balms and essences I've tried!

  Cons

  However, I must strongly caution anyone with cheilitis or lip eczema to absolutely avoid this product. Even if you think you've recovered or your condition has improved, if you've ever experienced cheilitis, steer clear of this one.

  Tip

  I thought my lips had healed enough to try lip products again, but the very day I used this, my inflammation flared up. Now I'm back to using my prescription ointment from the dermatologist. It's such a disappointment, as the product seemed so promising at first.

  The rich, creamy formula comes in a hygienic tube packaging. The applicator allows for direct application without using your hands, which is more sanitary. However, a small amount does tend to go back into the tube after each use, so it's not completely foolproof in terms of hygiene unless you avoid touching it with your hands.

  I bought two tubes and used the first one without any issues. However, when I opened the second tube, my lips had a terrible reaction as soon as I applied it. I thought it might have been due to my skin condition, so I waited a few days for my lips to calm down before trying again. Unfortunately, I had the same adverse reaction the second time.

  I bought this on a whim when I saw it at Olive Young, but it's not good at all.

  After using it for just two days, my lips feel strange - it's like I have cheilitis. There's no moisturizing effect, it just feels slippery, and the smell isn't great either. I used it without researching first just because it was from Torriden, and now I'm disappointed. My lips aren't usually sensitive, so I didn't think much of it. When I belatedly checked the reviews on Hwahae, I saw that some others experienced similar symptoms... I wonder if anyone actually finds this suitable, even though I have three of them.

  Wow, this lip balm is incredible! It's way better than the Blistex pot version. When I apply a generous amount before bed, it effectively sloughs off dead skin cells and keeps my lips moisturized all day long. It feels like it's deeply hydrating my lips from within.

  On some days, I experience a slight tingling sensation along my lip line when I apply it. But I just power through and keep using it anyway.

  To be honest, I can't find any positives, but if I had to mention something, it's that the discounted price makes it a bit cheaper.

  Cons

  It's not unscented - there's a strong, unpleasant petroleum-like smell. If it gets in your mouth, the taste is so awful you can't use it. After applying, the area around my mouth started to itch and tingle, then swelled up so much I couldn't continue using it. I've never had this reaction with other products... I bought it because Hwahae said the ingredients were good, but I don't see how it's gentle at all. The hydration is poor and it feels like it just sits on top of the skin.

  Tip

  If you have sensitive skin, absolutely do not use this. I don't even have particularly sensitive skin, but after applying this, my lips swelled up like I'd had fillers, and it was painful and stinging.
