  Pros

  The biggest advantage is that it's incredibly gentle. Being slightly acidic, it seems to help soothe the skin to some extent.

  Cons

  It slides around more than expected and leaves a shiny finish. The absorption feels quite weak. After application, instead of feeling firm and nourished, it's like there's a layer of oil sitting on top. Meanwhile, it doesn't provide great hydration, so my skin feels dehydrated underneath.

  Tip

  If you're going to use it, it's probably best as an exfoliating toner! If you want to use it as a toner pack, it's good to finish with a moisturizing cream or something similar after use.

  No irritation... It's moisturizing but has a rich feel to it.

  Cons

  I'm the type whose skin develops dead skin cells if it feels a bit dry, and if it feels slightly oily, I get folliculitis, blemishes, and redness. I bought this after seeing good reviews and because the ingredients seemed fine, but even with just the toner, oil rises to the surface after 20 minutes. Worried about folliculitis, I immediately washed it off and applied something else. Those with combination dehydrated skin or oily skin probably shouldn't use this.

  As someone with folliculitis, while the Soon Jung line doesn't cure it, it doesn't aggravate the condition either. It's gentle on the skin without causing irritation, so I've made it a staple in my routine.

  I received several samples and decided to try this one out as I was getting bored with my usual product. First impression: Wow, it's heavy! (It was summer at the time) Having always used watery toners for hydration with zero oil, this type of toner was a first for me. It was already suffocating just sitting still in the summer heat, and when I applied this, I immediately felt the weight on my face. I quickly tucked it away in a corner. Should I call this moisturizing? It's not that fresh, hydrating feeling, so I think it would be good for those who need extra moisture. I didn't experience any blemishes from using it.

  I pulled it out again in early winter and slathered it on my skin: Hmm... it's a bit ambiguous? It doesn't absorb quickly or give that skin-hugging feeling. I like when my skin seems to drink up the toner, but with this one, that moisturizing? Oily? Heavy feeling lingers. To borrow someone else's words, it feels like it's just sitting on top of the skin. I used to think all toners were pretty much the same, but using this made me realize that's not necessarily true... It wasn't to my liking.
