✔️ I compared this with a top-ranked tone-up cream from another brand (C company) on Hwahae. Here's how they stack up: *Application: La Roche-Posay: Moisturizing with a glowy finish, slightly sticky. Other brand: More matte in texture. *Brightening effect: La Roche-Posay: Subtly evens skin tone, but doesn't dramatically brighten. Other brand: Noticeably whitens the complexion. Initially looks a bit ghostly but settles naturally. ✔️ La Roche-Posay Review: • Perfect for wearing under masks! When you need sun protection but don't want heavy makeup, yet feel self-conscious bare-faced, this is ideal for a light application. • Natural glow It imparts a subtle radiance. There's a hint of stickiness, but not enough to be bothersome. • Brightening effect varies I typically use shade 21 and have fair skin with slight yellow undertones. My husband has fair skin with more redness. The brightening effect was more noticeable on him than on me.
• If you're hoping this alone will suffice for a light makeup look, you might be disappointed. However, it's important to remember this is a brightening moisturizer, not a BB cream. Focus on its tone-evening properties rather than full coverage. • As someone with very dry skin, I found that while it gave a glowy surface, it felt slightly drying. I'd recommend applying it over a hydrating base for best results.
