As a nomad of exfoliating toner pads, I'm here to give you a comparative review of all the best ones I've tried and bought. 1. Size Personally, I love that Papa Recipe's pads are larger. You can swipe once and cover a wide area without having to go over multiple spots repeatedly. 2. That tight feeling after use? I'm not sure if 'tight' is the right word, but unlike other brands where you wipe and pat to absorb, leaving just a moisturized feeling like a regular watery toner, this one gives a firmer sensation. I personally prefer this snug feeling over a slippery texture, as it seems to suit my skin better! 3. The pad itself When I use exfoliating toners, I tend to rub quite hard. Usually, pads fall apart and reach the end of their life quickly, but these hold up pretty well. They stay intact enough to cleanse both face and neck, and have a dense texture that shows they've put thought into the pad design. 4. Exfoliation I believe exfoliation is the essence of an exfoliating toner. While I can't say it's significantly better than other brands, it does a solid job in helping to remove dead skin cells, which I appreciate.
Hmm... So far, I haven't experienced any blemishes or skin reactions, so there's not much to complain about! However, many people mention disliking the scent. If you're not a fan of carrot fragrance or natural scents, you might want to avoid this. Personally, I enjoyed the natural aroma. It's like a mix of forest and earthy scents. I'll update if I notice any issues with continued use.
Make sure to wipe your face with the pad and then gently pat to help absorption! You'll likely notice a real difference at this step... To be honest, most aspects are similar to other toners, but the firming sensation really sets it apart.
