I used to swear by Make P:rem UV Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Fluid as my holy grail sunscreen. It was truly a game-changer, offering just enough tone correction that I could skip makeup and still get a lovely brightening effect. Sadly, it was discontinued and possibly reformulated. Reviews of the new version mention pilling issues... I was heartbroken to lose my perfect sunscreen. The generous size was another huge plus. Once again, I found myself adrift in the sea of sunscreens. After trying various options, I stumbled upon Director Pi's YouTube recommendation for Make P:rem's tone-up sunscreen. Since I was familiar with the brand, I figured I'd give it a shot, thinking I could always use it on my neck if it didn't work out. This mineral sunscreen has an incredibly smooth application. The tone-up effect is natural and not overwhelming. While I haven't tested it under makeup yet to check for pilling, it adheres to the skin with a moisturizing finish that should play well with foundation. The gentle ingredients have me thinking I might have found my new go-to sunscreen from Make P:rem once again. I apply it around 10 AM, and by 8 PM when I finish work, there's absolutely no dryness. My T-zone is slightly oily, and I have combination dehydrated skin that can sometimes feel dry, but this sunscreen keeps everything comfortable and balanced.
The only downside is that I wish it came in a larger size like the fluid version did. In winter, you might need to amp up your moisturizing routine underneath for optimal hydration.
If you were a fan of the original Make P:rem UV Defense Me Blue Ray Sun Fluid before its reformulation, I highly recommend giving this a try!
