Pros

That's a great point. As long as the skincare provides adequate hydration, this formula should work well without needing an extremely robust skincare routine like Double Wear requires. For those mornings when you need to get ready quickly, this foundation paired with a concealer can have the base makeup done in about 2 minutes. It's a really convenient and effortless option.

Cons

1) If the base skincare doesn't provide enough hydration, it can cling to dry patches a bit. It's not as demanding as Double Wear or Armani in terms of the required skincare sophistication, so it's more forgiving for a quick application. But some minor dryness can still show through. 2) Be careful with over-application! Applying too much at once can look cakey, especially around the nose area. I found that when I was a bit too hasty with the application, it would emphasize that area later on. For important occasions, it's best to use a brush for a more seamless application. 3) If you really prefer higher coverage, this may not be the best option - you may end up feeling unsatisfied. By the way, this product looks gorgeous when applied with the fingers as well. My mom in her 50s really loves the natural, lightweight feel of this "non-makeup makeup" look. It doesn't emphasize wrinkles or look heavy on the skin. ∎ Shade Recommendations: The initial application color and the final settled color can differ quite a bit with this foundation. The true color shows up after about 2 minutes of wear. Be sure to test it out thoroughly in the store, and don't just go with the sales associate's recommendation. I initially thought the 105 would be perfect for me, but 95 ended up being the most flattering and 100 was just right. 105 worked better for my mom. I'm a 22 neutral-toned skin, and 100 is my perfect match. I'd recommend going for a shade that blends seamlessly into your natural skin tone, rather than one that makes you look overly brightened. For 21 skin tones, 95 should work nicely for a natural, seamless look.
