I absolutely adore the top three shades, but I was on the fence about buying because the bottom three looked a bit too reddish. After much deliberation, I finally took the plunge - and I'm so glad I did! The top row has this beautiful, soft texture with a delicate shimmer that feels like a cloud. The bottom row features matte colors with a slightly firmer yet silky texture. Personally, I was most excited about the leftmost shade in the top row, and it didn't disappoint. It's this perfect, subdued taupe that's neither too red nor too yellow - exactly what I was hoping for. I thought shades 2 and 3 might be run-of-the-mill, but I was pleasantly surprised. Shade 2 has this subtle yet noticeable pearl finish that makes it super versatile, while shade 3 isn't just your average gold - it has a multidimensional shimmer that really sets it apart. As for the bottom row, don't let the intense appearance fool you. When applied with a fluffy brush and a light hand, they create a beautiful, subtle base color. For the swatches: Photos 1-2 show quick finger swatches. Photos 3-5 demonstrate how they look blended out. While many beauty influencers tend to show super pigmented swatches, I prefer a lighter application. So keep in mind these swatches are on the sheerer side for reference. *I had to reduce the image quality due to upload limits. It's a shame Hwahae doesn't allow larger file sizes, especially with how good phone cameras are these days! I don't have any complaints about the product quality or packaging itself. If I had to nitpick, it would be nice to have an included brush, but that might drive up the price, wouldn't it? The bottom row colors can be used as a subtle, natural contour base when applied lightly with a fluffy brush. The top row has such a smooth texture that it's easy to apply and blend with your fingers, and the shimmer actually shows up better than when using a brush. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinMar 28, 2021
Review of the NARS St. Germain palette! Unlike other recent palettes, this one feels sturdy and luxurious. The pigmentation is intense - highly recommended for those who love bold colors. Overall, it has a red-toned theme. When applied, you'll notice a lot of reddish undertones. Especially the 5th shade (in the center) isn't burgundy, but more of a very red brick color. It might suit warm spring complexions well. If I had known beforehand that all the base shades would have such a red feel, I might not have bought it... There weren't many reviews, so I was a bit worried. Anyway, for those who love red tones, this could be your holy grail. As someone with a deep undertone, I found it a bit too red for my complexion.
