1. The way it applies color is quite unique. The texture seems to be a mix of colored pigments and transparent powder at around a 3:1 ratio, and the color payoff reflects this. It has a blended, airbrushed effect, where you can build it up from a very sheer to a deep intensity, as long as you control the application well. 2. There is absolutely no yellow undertone. I wish I had known sooner! If I had known earlier, I could have bid farewell to the nomadic life of shadow palettes much earlier. As a cool-toned type, the more I layer on the colors, the less they suit me. The best approach is to stick to a simple eyeliner and mascara combination. But as a beauty enthusiast, I've been eyeing shadow palettes endlessly, as most cool-toned palettes that have come out barely have 1-2 colors I can use, leaving me disappointed every time I make a purchase. But as soon as I saw the Plain Winter palette, I knew it was the one for me! The colors are so beautifully cool-toned, it's a perfect combination for winter-toned folks like me who can't bear to part with any of the shades. From the base to the dark eyeliner-enhancing colors, this palette has everything I need for a complete eye makeup look. Especially the plum color - at first glance, it may seem like a challenging shade to pull off on the eyes. But since I'm quite fond of grungy makeup looks, this color has become my favorite! I wish they would release this plum shade as a single shadow.
Cons
To be honest, I don't feel the eyeshadow quality is exceptionally good, so the high price tag feels a bit steep. While the colors are truly stunning, there is some fallout, so if you really dislike any powdery eyeshadows, I wouldn't recommend this.
