ConsAs someone with super sensitive skin, I hadn't used foam cleansers for about 10 years. But when I got some small bumps, I decided to try a gentle one. Unfortunately, my skin still turned red and itchy... I bought it thinking it would be really mild, but as soon as I squeezed it out, I noticed a silky texture with a slight sheen and a strong scent, which made me hesitate. When I lathered it up, it produced an incredible amount of foam - that slippery feel typical of chemical surfactants. I'm not sure if the ingredients are plant-based or animal-derived, but that slippery texture made me think, 'This might irritate my skin.' I rinsed it off thoroughly, worried that any residue might cause a stinging sensation. After drying, I gently patted my hairline with a towel and looked in the mirror... my skin was already gone. Large, circular red patches had appeared on my cheeks and forehead... Goodbye, new friend I only used once today...

As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I usually find foam cleansers extremely drying, but this one wasn't overly drying at all. It's a gentle product that didn't cause any blemishes and was easy to use without any issues.
ConsThe ingredients are the most disappointing aspect. There were actually three ingredients that don't agree with my skin. So, to avoid potential blemishes, I didn't use it daily but alternated it with my regular product. While I didn't experience any breakouts, my face did feel a bit itchy. Another downside is that there are many good alternative products available at a similar price point. Honestly, this product didn't offer me significant benefits. Thanks to the Hwahae Testers, I had the opportunity to try a new product, but as someone who's always on the hunt for the perfect skincare basics and cleansers, it wasn't compelling enough to make me switch. When I went to Olive Young today, I noticed they had a 1+1 set on sale. If you're curious about the product, I recommend trying it when it's on discount.
TipInstead of lathering with your hands, I suggest using a bubble maker from Daiso. It uses less product, creates more foam, and might be less irritating to the skin.

Unfortunately, it severely worsened my deep dryness and redness, so I had to stop using it and return to my original cleanser. It took about three months to recover from the dehydrated, acne-prone skin that felt sunken when touched and couldn't absorb skincare products properly. This was my first experience with such damaged skin, and it was quite shocking. I might recommend this for oily skin types, but absolutely not for dry, combination, or sensitive skin. I used this product for about 2 weeks as part of the Hwahae Testers program. 1. Texture, Scent, and Lather The texture is just right - not too runny or too firm. It lathers well even when used with just water and hands (though a foam maker would work great too). The scent is similar to other cica products - a herbal scent that's not overwhelming and quite pleasant. 2. Blemishes (Pores) / Soothing With frequent mask-wearing, I've been struggling with excess oil, enlarged pores, and blemishes, exacerbated by stress. I used this twice daily - morning and night - and the results were heavenly. My blemishes improved dramatically, pores became less visible, and oil production decreased. People even commented on how much better my skin looked, making me want to repurchase. The soothing effect was truly remarkable, and it even helped reduce my sister's redness. 3. Cleansing Effectiveness While it might not be the strongest in this aspect, it's typical for most foam cleansers. Given its gentle nature, it would be perfect as a second cleanser. It removes most basic impurities effectively. I usually do a thorough 3-step cleanse (oil cleanser, foam cleanser, cleansing water), but when my skin felt particularly sensitive, I just used this as a second step followed by toner, and it worked well! 4. Hydration / Feel on Skin As someone with combination skin prone to both dry patches and oily areas, I found that with consistent use and proper hydration, this product helped balance my skin. Oil production decreased, and when used in conjunction with an exfoliator, it left my skin incredibly smooth. There was no tightness or flaking after use, and I often didn't need to apply an emulsion afterward. It left my skin feeling clean and smooth without that overly squeaky-clean feeling. If you have similar skin to mine, you might find this product as amazing as I did. 5. Personal Review / Amount While experiences may vary, I was extremely satisfied and would definitely repurchase. My skin improved significantly, and I highly recommend this product. I was pleasantly surprised by the generous amount - the bottle is quite large, which was a nice bonus.
ConsWhile I personally didn't find any downsides, I would caution those with allergies to carefully check the ingredients before purchasing. Also, those with extremely dry skin might experience some itching or tightness. Although it's quite hydrating, it's always best to read reviews from people with similar skin types before deciding.
TipAfter lathering up generously, I found it beneficial to leave the foam on my skin for a bit before rinsing. This seemed to have a soothing effect and helped minimize the appearance of pores and excess oil - almost like a foam mask. Additionally, I've noticed a significant brightening effect on my complexion. At first, I thought it might be my imagination, but my skin has genuinely become brighter, and my acne scars are gradually fading.
