After COVID, when my face was peeling and inflamed due to mask-wearing, this was the only ampoule that didn't sting or irritate. It's a real holy grail in the world of serums. As soon as I saw a big discount, I added it to my cart to stock up. I'm so happy, I could cry tears of joy!
ConsThe runny texture was a bit surprising at first. I thought, 'Is this right?' But I've developed a technique - I squeeze it onto my forehead and let it flow, then spread it carefully all over my face. It works pretty well that way!
TipIf you're dealing with deep dryness and tightness, congratulations! You've already solved your problem. When the seasons change, just add this one product to your existing skincare routine. No need for complicated steps - just toner, this ampoule, and moisturizer is enough! Apply this ampoule or your moisturizer twice, and you'll be set until morning. Even after a full day in the winter wind, your makeup won't crack until evening. It's amazing! When my skin got dry, it produced more oil, so I was struggling with both tiny bumps and deep dryness. That's when I remembered this product and came back to it. I used up two bottles in two months and bought more from the official site. I love it so much that I'm even here on Hwahae writing a review! I'm taking medication that controls sebum, so my whole body is dry, but my face isn't. I really recommend it! Note: I have sensitive, combination dehydrated skin prone to blemishes and inflammation (according to my dermatologist). My skin is thin and has a weak barrier (my dermatologist says I should avoid extractions as much as possible). Even so, this ampoule caused no irritation at all. If you wash your hands thoroughly and gently pat it into your skin in circular motions, your face becomes beautifully plump. Let's all aim for clear skin. Fighting! Additional note: I saw a review on the Naver official store saying this might be discontinued, so I contacted the company. They said there are no plans to discontinue the Aqua Soothing line! Hope this information helps!

I tried it because my skin felt deeply dehydrated, and while it didn't work miracles, it did tackle noticeable dryness. It's truly as fluid as they come - no viscosity, just like water. You could almost use it as a slightly heavier toner. Even after three layers, it feels light and hydrating. Being hyaluronic acid-based, there's an inevitable stickiness. As a soothing ampoule, it's gentle on the skin. I bought it as a 1+1 deal, which made it great for liberal use.
ConsIt doesn't resolve deep dryness - seems like that's still the job for a good cream. It's great for prepping skin before makeup, creating a nice base, but falls short in addressing long-term dehydration. While it's a cost-effective ampoule for combating dryness, the watery texture clashes with the dropper concept. When you pump the dropper, the product splashes and runs everywhere, making it hard to apply properly. The tube version included in the 1+1 deal seems more suitable.
TipFor the dropper version, dispense it onto your hand first. If you apply it directly to your face, it'll disappear into thin air before you know it.

Calling all dry and dehydrated skin types! I use half in the morning and a full application at night. Absorbs quickly and never caused irritation. Love the auto-dropper.
ConsPlease make a larger size! It's a bit runny due to its aqua-like texture, so it tends to drip down when applied to the nose bridge.

When I first received this soothing ampoule, I was particularly excited as I had been struggling with deep dryness. First off, I love that it comes with a dropper, which helps keep the product uncontaminated. As someone with combination dehydrated skin, I'm always dealing with excess oil, and my super sensitive skin tends to sting or turn red with incompatible products. However, this ampoule worked well for me without causing any blemishes. It's also nearly fragrance-free, so those sensitive to scents shouldn't have any issues. While one application might not completely resolve deep dryness, it does seem to help. These days, I rarely wear makeup due to masks, so I've been layering this ampoule not just during my skincare routine but whenever my skin feels dry. It's been much better that way! I think it'll be perfect for the upcoming summer as it's light and easy to apply.
ConsWhen you drop it on your face, it does run a bit, but the dropper allows for controlled application. While it's nice that it doesn't feel sticky after application, it feels so light that I questioned its effectiveness. I wish it had a bit more viscosity. However, considering the approaching summer, the lightness might be a plus. Layering it multiple times should work well.
TipThe product is small and lightweight, making it perfect to carry in your bag. If you're not wearing makeup, you can apply it whenever your face feels particularly dry.

Hydration Boost True to its name 'Aqua Soothing Ampoule', it has a watery, fluid texture. It feels like a refreshing hydration-boosting ampoule without any oiliness. Auto-Dropper The auto-dropper design makes it easy to dispense just the right amount for each use, which is great for controlling the quantity. Ingredients While my skin isn't extremely sensitive, it can react badly to certain products with burning and redness. However, this ampoule wasn't irritating at all. It felt gentle, refreshing, and mild as it absorbed into my skin. Application & Absorption It has an incredibly hydrating feel. The texture is somewhat thin for an ampoule, more like a toner, which allows for a smooth, effortless application. There was no pilling. Thanks to its toner-like consistency, it absorbs quickly and well. This makes it great for layering with other products! It's also nearly non-sticky.
ConsThe very fluid texture of the ampoule means it can quickly run down to your chin, so you need to apply it swiftly. I think it might be a bit challenging to completely address deep dryness using this product alone. However, we typically don't rely on just one product in our skincare routine, right? When used in combination with toners, creams, and other products, it should work well.
TipFor areas where you want to combat deep dryness, try applying multiple thin layers and letting each one absorb. This should give a more intensive hydrating effect.

After using about 1/5 of the product for over a week, I'll share my honest thoughts. [Packaging] As you can see in the photos below, it comes in a cute, small blue bottle that's perfect for travel! - It has a dropper, and when you twist the container closed, the ampoule automatically rises into the dropper, so no need to squeeze it manually! [Skin Type] My skin is combination dehydrated with oily tendencies... I constantly deal with dead skin cells and enlarged pores from frequent oil extraction. I'm especially prone to whiteheads. [Texture] Highly recommend for those who dislike sticky formulas or products that don't absorb well! As someone who usually dislikes thick textures, I was worried about an 'ampoule,' but it's actually very fluid and absorbs quickly without any stickiness. [Application] When you first dispense a drop, it has a runny consistency, but it absorbs rapidly and applies smoothly! It feels like applying a slightly acidic water-based toner! [Absorption] It seems to absorb completely within a minute of application. After absorption, my skin's surface feels firm, like egg whites! Since it's a thin formula, I apply it twice for better absorption and soothing effects, then use a modeling mask for extra absorption and calming. Finally, I apply this ampoule once more and seal it with a moisturizer before bed! [Hydration] While it's not exceptionally moisturizing, it provides hydration and a soothing effect that seems to balance the skin! In the morning, my face felt smoother, and after using it for about a week, I didn't experience any major blemishes, small bumps, or other skin issues! What I Loved As someone with oily skin, I've been searching for a product that addresses dehydration without making me greasy. I'm thrilled to find an ampoule that even oily skin types can use without worry. It focuses on soothing and hydrating, so you can layer it multiple times without any heaviness! The convenient packaging makes it perfect for travel - I think this one product alone would be really handy on trips.
ConsNot recommended for: Those with extremely dry skin might find this ampoule lacks sufficient moisture. If you do use it, try applying multiple layers for better results. One minor drawback is that because the formula is so fluid, when you drop it directly onto your face, it can sometimes run and a drop might fall to the floor, which feels a bit wasteful.
Tip1. Multi-layer application: Toner - Real Barrier Aqua Ampoule (1st layer) - 2nd layer - Moisturizer Make sure to allow each layer to absorb fully as you go through the steps. 2. Use with a modeling mask! Toner - Real Barrier Aqua Ampoule (1st layer) - Modeling mask - Reapply ampoule - Moisturizer The modeling mask helps absorb the thin formula's hydrating, soothing, and moisturizing properties for about 20 minutes with a cooling effect! Since I have a lot of redness and blemishes, I look for modeling masks with 'Tea Tree Soothing, Cooling' keywords.

Reviews by The Hwahae Testers undergo the same strict verification process as regular reviews, and if they don't meet our standards, revisions will be requested.ProsLet me summarize the good points for you! 1) It's an ampoule that doesn't feel greasy but fills your skin with moisture and firmness from deep within. It's great to use on its own. 2) It creates a beautiful base for makeup when used before application. It's incredibly hydrating!! As someone with very oily skin who can't apply anything but toner on my nose, this worked wonders even there (so firming!). It lives up to its name (Aqua Soothing!!), and when applied, it doesn't feel oily but rather like it's replenishing moisture from the inside out. I think it's great for both dry and oily skin types. Texture ➡️ More viscous than water, flows well. Slightly stickier than a toner. Application ➡️ Feels a bit sticky at first, but as it absorbs, you're left with a firm, plumped feeling from within. Soothing ➡️ While it's described as an intensive hydrating and soothing ampoule, I didn't see major effects for sensitive skin soothing. This might be because I haven't used it for a long period. This is truly the texture and feel I've been looking for in an ampoule, and it suits my skin perfectly. I highly recommend it to those with oily skin types who feel they lack hydration, and I think it's also great for dry skin types to deeply replenish moisture.
ConsI couldn't use it for a long period, so I wasn't able to thoroughly check while using it, but the biggest drawback was the dropper(?). The part that dispenses the product isn't a rubber grip but more like a button, making it difficult to control the amount. It often comes out too quickly, resulting in spills on the floor.
Tip1) Use after cleansing and before makeup. It's a great texture to use before makeup! Not too oily but full of hydration, so makeup applies beautifully! 2) When you're feeling lazy, using this ampoule alone is more than enough!! That's how amazing it is for hydration and absorption.

I loved how my skin still felt deeply moisturized when I woke up in the morning after applying it at night. I also tried using it both morning and night, and I felt it gave my skin a surge of hydration, which I preferred even more. The serum absorbs well, so I had no issues using it.
ConsWhen using the ampoule, if you carelessly press too hard, the product can splash and drip excessively. It's best to control the amount by gently pressing the dispenser. Also, I feel the product quantity is a bit on the smaller side, which is somewhat disappointing.
TipAfter evenly applying the product and letting it absorb, gently pat your skin all over. This seems to help the product absorb even better into the skin.

The dropper-style cap makes it easy to apply, and the almost transparent liquid formula absorbs well into the skin.
ConsThere's no need to be selective about where you apply it. It's gentle and non-irritating, feeling like a mild ampoule. However, when you apply it to your skin, it flows quite quickly like a liquid. If you don't gently pat it in right away, it might run down your face. In the photo, you can see me hunching my shoulders - that's because I'm trying to apply it with one hand while holding my phone with the other, worried it might drip off! Just make sure to spread it quickly over a wider area and you'll be fine.
TipIf you apply a generous amount before bed, I guarantee you'll wake up to deeply hydrated, glowing skin the next morning.

First off, I usually use Dr.G toner and multi-fluid for my skincare routine. When I use both, it can feel a bit rich, but since I started using this product exclusively, I haven't experienced any deep dryness at all! Even when I go to school using just this serum and sunscreen, my skin doesn't feel tight at all! Ingredients: I checked the ingredients on Hwahae, and there's nothing bad in it, only good stuff... I love it! Scent: I'm quite sensitive to fragrances, but this one isn't overpowering or unpleasant, which I really appreciate! Packaging: The dropper is quite unique. And it's really great! When you open it, it dispenses just the right amount for one use, so you don't need to push it. It's convenient and seems like it won't leak easily when you take it with you. Texture: It doesn't make my skin feel tight, and after applying and gently patting it in, it doesn't feel too sticky. I really like it! I didn't experience any blemishes because of this product! Overall: It doesn't cause any blemishes and it's a solid product that I could see myself using continuously!
ConsIt does tend to run a bit, so you need to pat it in quickly and help it absorb. Also, as a student with limited funds, I honestly think it's a bit pricey for the amount you get... There are other decent products that are cheaper and offer more product. If I were buying it myself, I might choose something else.
TipIt's great to just pat this in after washing your face!
