It is a formula that needs to be shaken and has a flowing, dripping texture. After applying, there is a non-greasy, oil-like feel, but it may be divisive. So I recommend using it in the evening! There may also be those who don't care for the fragrance.

I usually used the brown bottle, but when I tried this product, I liked it so much that I snatched it up during the sale at iHerb. I've also used other bakuchiol products before, but this one is better! The ingredients are better than retinol, and I can use it even during pregnancy, so I'm going to use it consistently in the evenings.

When mixed into a light moisturizing lotion (about 2-3 drops), it almost eliminates the need for any other skincare. And if I ever feel like my skin is getting a bit uneven, I can just apply the oil formulation thinly over my face and it smooths everything out. Using it together with madecassoside-based skincare products also worked really well for me (like toners or essences).

The price is still a bit of a concern though ㅜㅜ I have some stocked up when it goes on sale at Olive Young, but the price is a bit high considering the amount. However, I still plan to keep purchasing it.

I was originally a big fan of retinol and retinal, but after moving to a coastal area with intense sunlight and getting into outdoor activities, I started worrying about the retinol I had applied the previous day even when using sunscreen. So I've been using a wrinkle-improving and preventative product that I can apply consistently without much irritation for over a year now.
1) Despite being an oil formulation, it has amazing absorption! When I first applied it to my face, I knew I had to keep using this.
1-2) Even though it's an oil formulation, it doesn't feel greasy or shiny, but leaves a soft, powdery finish. As someone with oily skin, I can apply this and then immediately layer mineral or organic sunscreen without any issues.
2) It's much less irritating than retinol. I even tried applying a bit more, and could feel that it was still working, which was reassuring.
3) It mixes really well into light moisturizers. Personally, I was very satisfied with mixing it into an affordable basic lotion, and didn't feel the need to use any other skincare for 5 months.

I apply this product as the last step without using a cream.
For those with oily skin, using a lotion or cream in addition may result in a heavy, greasy feeling.

After using the product, my face feels smooth and silky when cleansing the next day, with a distinct separation of oil and serum layers. Although I'm not sure if it's due to the oil content, my skin texture has improved.
The product has helped with blemish reduction, but I'm not certain about its individual effects as I've been using it in combination with other cica products (though I still have 3 bottles left).

1. Scent: I don't know if other Bakuchiol products are like this, but the infamous reason for the smell is there. It's a musty, earthy smell. I don't know if it's because there are no added fragrances or ingredients, but if you think about someone else smelling it, it's embarrassing. That's why I only use it at night when I'm sleeping.
2. Effectiveness: Maybe because my skin is originally pale, I can't feel any effects like brightening the tone or anything. The blemishes seem to be the same.
3. Pimples: Instead, breakouts are popping up. Even though I have dry skin, it seems oily, and a few days after I stopped using it, small, popping pimples appeared on my forehead, chin, and cheeks. They're not cystic, but it seems like my skin doesn't agree with it.

As a dry-skinned person, 3-4 drops are enough for me, so it might feel heavy for oily-skinned people. But this alone can provide enough moisture.

The downside is that it's difficult to obtain the product since it's shipped internationally, and the fragrance is not particularly pleasant.
