Layering can be nice, but for my skin, using multiple layers feels a bit heavy and suffocating. I find it's better to apply the Mixsoon essences lightly, depending on my skin's condition.

While it has an oil-like texture, I haven't experienced any blemishes yet, and my skin feels hydrated, so I'm satisfied for now. It would be even better if they could add a pump dispenser to the container.

My skin tends to break out immediately when I use oil-based products. I started using the Mixsoon Centella Essence first, and its application, texture, and scent (fragrance-free) are similar to the Houttuynia Cordata Essence. It has a flowing oil-like feel, but it's not overly rich.

I'm using it by placing soaked cotton pads on my skin for a calming effect, rather than wiping. If you have sensitive skin, don't wipe with the soaked cotton pad. Instead, leave it on your face for about 5 minutes, then gently press to remove. This method is much less irritating! For exfoliating toners, use only twice a week. If you have sensitive skin, be cautious as frequent exfoliation can damage your skin barrier and increase sensitivity. Other than that, it seems to be a product that's easy to incorporate into your routine!

When you feel a pimple coming on, you can soak a cotton pad and use it as a mask for a soothing effect. Though I've only used it a few times, I could immediately tell how gentle and non-irritating it is!

For blemish-prone areas, it's great to soak a cotton pad with the product, apply it to the skin, leave it on while drying your hair, then pat in any remaining product for better absorption.

Despite being called an essence, it's not runny like a serum. Instead, it has a slightly thicker consistency, more like a skin/toner type. They should probably rename it to 'extract'.

The houttuynia cordata extract isn't as pungent as I expected. I bought this after trying centella for blemish control and soothing, and it's effective for mild blemishes. While the price might seem high for a single-ingredient product, it's still reasonable compared to other pricier options.

The essence is quite fluid, so it works well in a spray bottle too.

With consistent use, I felt like my skin was gradually improving! It seems you need to use it regularly to see results. When I stopped using it for a while, I didn't notice the calming effects, but with persistent and continuous use, you can definitely see the benefits! For those with oily skin who don't like a greasy feel, I wouldn't recommend it. However, if you don't mind that, I suggest giving it a try! For those with dry skin, it might feel too drying after absorption. To minimize dryness, apply it over other products after using your toner.
