This is my Hwahae Testers review based on usage from May 7th to 17th. My skin type: Naturally super sensitive skin, very thin and prone to redness and burning sensations with even slight irritation. Previously, incompatible products would cause immediate reactions all over my face. However, recently, after strengthening my skin barrier and boosting immunity, my skin has become noticeably healthier with reduced redness. I don't typically have blemishes, but occasionally get a small pimple depending on my overall health. Texture: Solid balm-like texture, not too firm - slightly harder than a cleansing balm. Scent: Baby powder-like fragrance, slightly powdery and fresh. Application (the most impressive feature): Despite being a stick format, which I thought might be harsh on the skin, it surprisingly glides on smoothly with a moisturizing feel. I expected it to be oily due to the stick format, but it feels almost entirely like hydration with just a slight coating sensation at the end (about 80% hydration, 20% oil). It's as if a hydrating cream was solidified into this texture. Blemishes: My skin felt comfortable from the moment I applied it, and as expected, no blemishes appeared. User experience: I applied it before my moisturizer in my skincare routine (toner-serum-this product-moisturizer-sunscreen). Usually, by lunchtime, most of my morning skincare has worn off due to my mask, but when I removed my mask, I could still see a moisturized glow. As a healthcare worker, frequent hand sanitizing and washing have left my skin chapped up to my elbows, with my hands being particularly red and irritated. This product was very convenient to apply to those areas. Despite my concerns about stinging on the damaged skin, it quickly soothed the dead skin cells and dryness without any discomfort, leaving my hands feeling soft. I found it more useful for my hands and arms than my face, and was very satisfied with the results in those areas. Makeup: I don't typically wear makeup beyond sunscreen, so I couldn't test for pilling. However, I lent it to a friend whose base makeup was flaking due to her mask. She applied it to the flaky areas, smoothed out the dead skin cells, then reapplied her cushion foundation over it, which fixed the issue perfectly. Other notes: The pocket-sized format and the fact that it doesn't require twisting to open made it very convenient and easy to use frequently.
Cons- Despite being a stick format, it's quite soft due to its high hydration content. If you're not careful, it can easily smudge when applying quickly. However, it maintains its shape well if applied gently and slowly. - If you apply too much, it can feel slightly heavy on the skin. - The flat surface makes it easy to apply to larger areas, but it's difficult to directly apply to narrow, contoured areas.
TipIts portability makes it great for carrying in your pocket or bag, allowing you to use it like a multi-purpose balm on dry areas throughout the day.

What I liked: The product absorbs smoothly and gives a cool sensation upon application. It's also moisturizing and easy to apply, which I appreciated. I mainly used it around my eyes, and I didn't experience any blemishes while the hydration was maintained. I've only used foundation sticks before, but I think stick-type products in general have the advantage of being convenient to use.
ConsThere weren't many downsides, but because the formula is so soft, it can smudge a bit during application.
TipIt's great to apply it generously on areas you feel are dry. It might be obvious, but... I frequently applied it around my eyes to keep that area hydrated.

First off, the ingredients are great. I have combination dehydrated skin, so I prefer using lightweight products with high hydration for my skincare routine. Plus, with wearing masks all day lately, my skin has become super sensitive. It's been almost two years since my once-good skin started acting up... My skin doesn't react well to most acids (like AHC eye cream), but it loves hyaluronic acid (The Lab by Blanc Doux). Houttuynia cordata (Abib) and Cica (Bring Green) weren't bad, but I didn't see noticeable results. For sunscreen, Dewytree products work well for me! They also sent me the ampoule kit, which I like even more. It's slightly sticky, but you can really feel it replenishing moisture. My acne scars have also faded significantly! After using it for a few days, I found the stick isn't bad, but it's not amazing either. If you're going to buy something, get the ampoule - it's genuinely much better. Once I finish the kit, I'll be repurchasing the ampoule.
Cons1. It doesn't seem very hygienic. Dust sticks easily to the outside. With a mist, the product doesn't directly touch your skin, but this is a stick-type balm. It also smears easily. 2. It feels like it's forming a barrier on the surface rather than providing deep hydration. When I touch my skin the next morning, it feels like most of the product is still there. 3. When it arrived, it was in a ziplock bag - I think that's because the moisture evaporates. I've been storing it in a ziplock bag after use too. 4. I've only used it twice, but you can already see how much of the product is gone. Looks like it won't last long.
TipI used it together with The Lab by Blanc Doux pads, applying them to hydrate the inner layers and then using this to seal in the moisture! + If you're thinking of buying it, don't set your expectations too high. I found it just okay... However, it didn't cause any blemishes or irritation.
