The wand is thick, but the bristles are thin, so it doesn't smudge on the eyelids! It applies evenly in a thin layer without clumping, which is great! The color is very close to pure black, but it applies thinly, giving a defined look with just a small amount! It smudges too easily... I don't think it's waterproof. Even though I have double eyelids, it tends to transfer onto my eyelids. There's nothing good to say. I hope you trust me and don't waste your money. It smudges terribly. Do they not understand the meaning of 'waterproof'? It smears horribly no matter what you do - even if you apply a tiny amount or set it with powder. After just a few minutes of wear, you end up looking like a panda with mascara deliberately applied under your eyes, creating dark circles where there were none before. I bought this at full price from Sephora, where the sales associate hyped it up as a new release, claiming it was the best mascara they've ever used. I guess I fell for their sales pitch. I rarely write reviews, but this product makes me so angry. Take it from me - don't waste your money on this one!
