It absorbs beautifully, providing a deep hydration that really locks in moisture. Even in hot weather, this alone was enough to keep my dry skin from feeling parched. While it feels a bit sticky on initial application, it absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling fresh. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with this product.
ConsThe absorption was excellent and I was very pleased with it. There weren't really any downsides to speak of.

If you're looking for a product to combat that tight feeling deep in your skin, this is definitely worth trying!
ConsI couldn't really notice any brightening effects. It's a product that's good for everyday, no-fuss use.

The positives: 1. The packaging is a sophisticated natural-colored paper box, showing thoughtfulness in presentation and hinting at the natural ingredients inside. 2. It's a rich, runny liquid that feels like it's supplying moisture and nourishment to dry skin. When applied with the dropper, it's hydrating, absorbs quickly without sitting on top of the skin, and retains just the right amount of moisture. 3. While I didn't notice much immediately after application, by morning my skin felt slightly brighter, with a smoother texture and increased hydration. In my personal opinion, it's twice as effective as the famous ooo low molecular weight hyaluronic acid ampoule. 4. I experienced no blemishes and found it generally agreeable with my skin.
ConsI used this product along with my mother. Her feedback was that it felt 'dry'. I also found it somewhat drying when used alone. It's fine for the first application, but with continued use, you'll need to address the dryness, especially in winter. It might be perfect for summer use though. For reference, both my mother and I have dry skin types. Particularly around my mouth area, where I have extremely dry skin, I need to apply Vaseline.
TipI layered it with toner, aloe gel, ampoule, and emulsion, which provided hydration, but I still found it dry for winter use. Mixing it with aloe gel works well too. However, those with dry skin should balance oil and moisture levels carefully. While I deducted one star for the dryness, overall it's a decent product that improves skin texture and is generally good.

Recently, I had an Aladdin peel which made my skin even drier. I've been alternating between my usual serum one day and this kombucha ampoule the next, while keeping my toner, emulsion, and cream routine the same. Surprisingly, just changing the serum/ampoule made a huge difference in combating deep dryness! It's amazing how one product can make such an impact. This ampoule has been excellent at addressing my skin's dehydration issues. I've been using it for a week now without any blemishes appearing.
ConsAs for the whitening and anti-wrinkle claims written on the box and glass container, I can't really say I've noticed those effects.

I'll share my personal experience. First off, I'm a super sensitive skin boss with a skin condition that prevents me from using just any product. I typically use Physiogel and Zeroid for skincare. This essence is designed to protect the skin barrier from external factors. Although I could only use it for a week, I noticed that my cheeks, which usually turn red in cold weather, seemed to redden a bit less. The texture isn't light but rather sticky (enough for hair to stick to it), which I didn't particularly like. However, as a barrier-protecting essence, it wasn't bad at all.
ConsAs a Hwahae Tester, I wish I had more than a week to try it out. I'd love to use it longer and write a more comprehensive review.
TipI use three drops - one on each cheek and one on my forehead - which seems to be just the right amount.

I had some faith in it due to its clinical trials for skin barrier improvement, and I definitely noticed less frequent flare-ups of redness. The application and feel are great, and considering the price, the pros far outweigh any cons. I plan to purchase it again after I finish this one. [Pros] 1. Eco-friendly packaging Delivered in neat paper packaging. The product container is made from sugarcane paper, showing real commitment to being a vegan product. 2. Non-sticky application As someone who really dislikes sticky textures, I absolutely love how this absorbs without any stickiness. 3. Excellent absorption Perhaps due to its lightweight texture, it absorbs quickly, almost like an essence. I appreciate that it leaves no residue. 4. Clinically proven to reduce moisture loss and redness I prioritize clinical trials when choosing cosmetics, and this product's proven effectiveness in improving the skin barrier gives me extra confidence in its performance.
Cons[Cons] 1. May not fully satisfy those with extremely dry skin Even though I don't have extremely dry skin, I found I needed to layer it two or three times to achieve that plump skin feeling. 2. Paper packaging, but non-paper tape It's not a major issue, but it seems they're still in the process of rebranding as a fully vegan brand.

Absorbs: For an ampoule, it has a water-like texture that feels slippery? It seems to absorb quickly. 2. Absorption: It's good. Even with a light patting, it absorbs rapidly. 3. Hydration: After absorption, it feels like a coating... Doesn't feel tight at all. 4. Scent: Fragrance-free. And what I really want to praise...! When using ampoules, I always felt wasteful about the product left on the dropper's surface, and uneasy about it going back into the bottle after being exposed to air. But the bottle's opening grips the dropper tightly, so it feels like there's no waste or oxidation. I absolutely love this!
Cons1. Blemishes: I'm not sure if it's just my imagination, but after using the ampoule, I got a small pimple on my nose. However, it subsided quickly. 2. Room for improvement: The texture is too runny, so in my case, when I try to apply and absorb it all at once, it drips down. This means I have to apply it rather quickly...
TipAlthough I haven't used it for long, I definitely feel more balanced after using it. I think I'll need to use it consistently to know for sure.

I apply a full dropper at once, and while it doesn't absorb instantly, gently patting it in helps it sink right in. There's no stickiness after absorption, and my skin feels moisturized for a long time. I have combination skin that gets very dry and tight in early winter, but when I apply this ampoule in the evening followed by cream, there's no deep dryness overnight, which is wonderful. Being a vegan product, it doesn't cause any blemishes after use.
ConsThe price is a bit steep. While I have no complaints about the quality, the cost might be a burden if I want to repurchase it.
TipDuring this very dry season, after applying it to my face, I spread some on the back of my hands, and they become incredibly smooth.

I might recommend it in a different context when it starts getting warmer, like when spring is approaching. Current skin condition: - I feel dryness 365 days a year. My skin is sensitive but doesn't tend to have blemishes. - However, I have very deep dryness and surface dryness, making my skin rough, which I want to improve. - I don't usually wear much makeup, and I've been wearing masks, so I hardly use any these days. - As the weather has gotten colder, I've noticed my skin texture getting rougher, so I've been considering various serums. I used this product every night for about 8 days from the day I received it. (Morning routine: Toner - Aloe gel - Emulsion) (Evening routine: Heavier toner than morning - Serum - Heavier emulsion than morning) 0. Ingredients I only use products without allergy-triggering ingredients. My skin is sensitive, and when I use incompatible cosmetics, it can burn or even cause small bumps despite not being prone to blemishes. I didn't have any allergic reactions while using this kombucha serum. I can give five stars for this! 1. Volume Before testing this kombucha serum, I was using a 15ml serum, so this 50g bottle seemed enormous. It's relative, but among serums that usually come in small glass bottles, this might be considered a large size. 2. Texture - It's like a watery toner When I shook the bottle, it was much more fluid than I expected. I'm not sure if this is the right way to describe it, but when you use the dropper to apply it, it runs down your face. The consistency instinctively makes you tilt your head back about 15 degrees. 3. Scent It's not unscented, but the fragrance isn't strong or artificial. The scent is so faint it's almost unnoticeable. I was a bit worried since it's described as a fermented cosmetic, but it's quite mild. 3. Absorption The weight matches the description of a 'fresh texture'. It's light. It feels light when applying and after application. - Right after application: When you first put it on your face, it might feel slightly sticky as you pat it in, but it quickly absorbs. It doesn't disappear immediately, and needs some time to be patted in. For a moment after absorption, you might feel like your skin is filled with hydration, but the problem is...
Cons1. Absorption Right after application, you can definitely feel something being absorbed. But after absorption, before applying emulsion or cream, it feels a bit dry? It's like I didn't apply anything. I have very dry skin, so even if I apply thick layers of skincare before bed in this dry season, I still feel dry the next day. With this serum... I feel dry even before going to bed. Even applying it over cream or emulsion doesn't improve this. Thinking I might have used too little due to its light texture, I tried layering it the next day. Of course, I also increased the amount applied at once. It didn't feel much better. I thought it was a large volume for a serum, but it feels like I just applied two layers of toner and an emulsion... And it's supposed to be a serum.... I'm thinking of trying it again in a couple of months, wondering if it might have been better to use in spring or early summer.... 2. Whitening & Wrinkle Improvement It's called [Gyeol Biome] and the back of the container states [Dual-functional cosmetic for whitening & wrinkle improvement], but honestly, I'm not sure. Based on a week's use of the serum, here's what I think, although it's difficult to see significant improvement in whitening and wrinkle reduction in just a week. I don't have much expectation for whitening, it might need more time. As for wrinkle improvement, with this much dryness, I wonder if it's really doing its job? I would find it hard to recommend this to people around me who usually feel their skin is dry. I'm thinking of trying it again in a couple of months, wondering if it might have been better to use in spring or early summer.... If I see whitening effects from consistent use in January or February, I might consider repurchasing. But currently, at the end of November, in the midst of winter, I can't recommend it.
TipLooking at other reviews, I think this might be a good serum for light use in the morning. Or When spring comes, I'm willing to try it again with expectations for whitening effects.

My skin type is sensitive combination, and currently, due to the changing seasons, my skin has suddenly become dry. I've developed a few small blemishes on my cheeks, so I've been using twice the amount of skincare products than usual. I started using this ampoule on the evening of the 16th, and since then, I've been using it twice daily - morning and night! I didn't use a separate cream, finishing my skincare routine with just toner and ampoule. Before using the kombucha ampoule, I was using a ceramide ampoule. Comparing the two, the kombucha ampoule feels a bit drier. It was okay to use during the day, but when used at night, I felt quite dry in the morning.
ConsFor those with oily skin, using it twice a day might be fine. However, if you have dry or combination skin, you might feel some dryness, so you may need to apply an additional cream or emulsion.
TipI keep my skincare line in the refrigerator, so if you try this, you can feel an immediate soothing effect.
