Though it's called a cream, it's actually an ampoule balm product. It even says 'ampoule balm' on the case. Since it's a balm well-infused with ampoule, it absorbs much more smoothly than other balm products. Just like a cream. You can think of it as a nourishing cream. When you first apply it and massage your face, it feels a bit stiff, but after a little rubbing, your skin becomes wonderfully firm and supple. I have combination dehydrated skin, so I don't use it daily, but I apply it when my skin feels dry, and I haven't experienced any blemishes. By the way, I'm sharing this with my mother. If you consider it as a balm, it absorbs quite smoothly. However, if you think of it as a cream, it's a bit on the thick side. Try spreading it thinly and really massaging it into your face. It stays moisturizing for a long time like a massage cream, making it great for facial massages. - cw****Combination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinBrightening/Dark SpotsSebum/BlackheadsWrinkles/ElasticityEnlarged PoresJun 9, 2021
It's slightly rich and has a bit of oil content. If you adjust the amount, it seems to absorb quickly. Plus, the packaging looks incredibly luxurious. Before buying, I didn't see any allergen information on Hwahae, so I thought the ingredients were gentle. I was disappointed to find those listed on the outer packaging. There's a spot for the spoon on the outside, but I find it more convenient to keep it inside the lid. Also, the cream had an overpowering rose scent which I didn't really like. After cleansing at night, I use a sheet mask, then apply serum and this cream. The next morning, it hasn't dried out at all. If you apply the right amount, it keeps your skin moisturized until the next day, which is great. - ly******Combination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2020
First off, the packaging is luxurious, and it provides excellent hydration. It's on the pricier side, and it seems to absorb somewhat slowly. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedFeb 16, 2020
Honest review after purchasing with my own money and using it about 5 times ✓ Scent: A subtle herbal or floral fragrance. Not overpowering. ✓ Moisturizing: As it's a wrinkle cream, it seems to have good hydrating properties. ✓ Rich texture: Has just the right amount of richness without feeling greasy. Dry skin types will love it. Oily skin might find it a bit sticky at first, but after a few hours, the skin feels soft without that sensation. ✓ Hydration: Doesn't feel particularly hydrating. Personally, for a wrinkle-focused cream, it doesn't feel heavy or suffocating on the skin, nor does it feel excessively oily after some time has passed. Even for oily skin types, it seems good for applying in small amounts to maintain a proper oil and moisture balance. The ingredients are also decent, so it's a thumbs up from me. 1. As I have slightly oily skin, I don't like feeling greasy or suffocated. After applying, when I touch my skin, it feels a bit tacky? To compare... it's like when you get glue on your hands? 2. The price isn't particularly cheap for a newly established brand name. 3. When my skin condition isn't great, I sometimes (very rarely) get small blemishes... While it might be satisfying for those with dry skin, for someone like me with even slightly oily skin, just a dab the size in the photo is enough for one area. Therefore, the amount will last a long time. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinAcne SkinJan 29, 2020
Now I understand why everyone raves about this anti-aging cream. When I apply it in the evening, my skin feels plump and firm by the next morning. It's like my skin has become 3 years younger! The texture is rich and creamy, making it a pleasure to apply, and the fragrance is lovely too. I struggled with acne in my 20s and even into my 30s with adult acne. Now in my mid-30s, while the acne has reduced, I still have combination-oily skin. Unfortunately, just two days after using this product, I developed a huge, hard pimple near my ear. For those with oily skin types, it might be better to use this every 2-3 days instead of daily. It's such a shame because I loved how firm it made my skin feel. Being in my mid-30s, I think adding this anti-aging cream on top of my existing skincare routine (toner, serum, emulsion) might have been too much for my skin, causing breakouts. When using this anti-aging cream, it's best to skip the emulsion step to avoid overloading your skin. - Hwahae UserCombination SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedDec 12, 2019
Even though I've only used it for a few days, the brightening effect when I woke up after applying it overnight was really impressive. It left my skin feeling nicely hydrated! It doesn't seem to suit oily skin types. I developed blemishes that felt like hard, acne-like bumps on my cheeks and around the T-zone. So disappointing! If you have oily skin and want to use this, I'd suggest applying it only around the eye area. It seems like it would be fantastic for those with dry skin. - Hwahae UserNormal SkinRecommendedDec 11, 2019
Holy grail status achieved! This review is based on using at least 3 jars within a year. I have normal skin but with deep dryness, and in winter I usually need to layer at least 3 different creams and products to avoid skin tightness. However, with this night cream, I only need to apply it after cleansing and emulsion in the evening, and my skin stays incredibly hydrated until the next morning. Apply it thickly for a mask-like effect, or thinly as a regular cream. If it feels too rich, mix it with d'Alba serum for better absorption. It's so moisturizing that I don't need a separate eye cream - I just apply it carefully around the eye area. After using it for over 3 months, I noticed a glow on my forehead after washing my face. I've tried many creams before, but this is the first time I've seen such a radiant effect. That's why it has become my absolute must-have holy grail product! Since a thin layer lasts quite long, I don't need to repurchase frequently. After buying it several times, I've accumulated many full-size containers and would prefer to buy refills at a lower price. Unfortunately, refills haven't been available lately on the d'Alba website or Coupang. I've been waiting for a Coupang restock alert for two months, but it's still out of stock. If refills were available at a more affordable price, I could use it more generously, which is disappointing. Using the night cream along with the day cream (pink) seems to be even better for the skin. After using the day cream, my makeup never looks cakey, and I achieve a natural, dewy complexion. You'll definitely notice the difference if you use it consistently for just 3 months! - pe*******Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinRecommendedJul 13, 2019
The packaging was so luxurious! It was a gift, so I didn't know much about it before using, but from the moment I applied it, I was amazed by its rich, nourishing texture. It felt so substantial that I could tell it was packed with nutrients! I've been diligently applying it before bed every night. This was my first time trying a nourishing cream, and rather than absorbing well, it felt like it created a layer on top of my skin. The texture was a bit thick, which made it somewhat of a hassle to apply. - je*********Dry SkinSensitive SkinAtopic SkinJul 13, 2019
First off, the packaging is quite luxurious. It's the kind of elegance you don't often see in this price range. It has a slightly classic vibe with a floral scent. The texture is a bit rich, typical of a nourishing cream. After application, there's a subtle glow, and it feels like it coats the skin's surface (similar to how a sleeping pack feels). Because of this, or maybe it's just my perception, but the skin seems a bit firmer than usual. I think with long-term use, it might have some wrinkle-improving effects (though I haven't seen significant results from short-term use). If used alone during the day, it can cause some pilling with makeup, so I only used it at night. It feels more rich than hydrating, and when used alone as an emulsion/cream replacement, it seems to lack the lasting power I expected. So, I'd recommend using it after other hydrating products, truly as a nourishing cream in the final step of your routine. Judging by the product and packaging, it seems designed to be used as a finishing nourishing cream. Overall, while the product quality isn't bad, I feel it might be more suitable for those over 40. If I were a bit older, I might have given it a higher rating. - Hwahae UserDry SkinSensitive SkinRecommendedApr 4, 2019
As someone with extremely dry skin, I never thought I'd achieve that dewy look. But after using the Dalba mist and cream together, my face has developed a beautiful glow! There's no feeling of dryness, and when I apply it before bed, my skin still feels hydrated the next morning. The best part is that it absorbs well into the skin without sitting on top. It's disappointing that they've discontinued the refills and now only offer the full-size product. The refills were more affordable.
