I bought the Japanese Anessa purple-tinted UV sunscreen. It's reassuring to use since it doesn't contain any ingredients harmful to the ocean. It works well as both a sunscreen and a brightening moisturizer! As someone with severe acne and dry skin, I tried this product but unfortunately experienced dryness between my eyebrows and increased irritation. It's disappointing that it doesn't seem to suit my face. I think Anessa might be better for body use rather than facial application. - ss*******Normal SkinRecommendedMay 3, 2022
1. Anessa's UV protection power Anessa is a Japanese brand that survived rigorous testing and is known for excellent UVA protection. 2. Anessa product types: - Gel (for face and body/facial use) - Nuance Change (White, Rose Pink) - Color Tuning (Purple, Apricot Pink) Richness level: Gel = Nuance (dewy) > Color Tuning (appears matte) Brightening effect: Color Tuning (noticeably tinted) > Gel = Nuance Color Tuning texture: It feels matte but doesn't cake or separate. However, you need to blend it well due to its slightly powdery texture. I didn't notice any dryness, though this might be because I don't have dehydrated skin. Still, I probably wouldn't use it in winter. It works well as a base makeup product on its own, but it doesn't provide coverage. Anessa Color Tuning comes in two shades: I highly recommend the Apricot Pink! Apricot Pink advantages: 1. It evens out uneven skin tone, including dark under-eyes, sallow skin, and greenish areas around the mouth. However, it won't completely neutralize slight redness on the cheeks. 2. The pink tone gives an overall lively appearance. 3. It's perfect for brightening darker skin tones. Highly recommended for facial use! The Purple shade is ideal for neutralizing yellow undertones and provides slightly more brightening than Apricot Pink. Apricot Pink is better for brightening dark under-eye areas. Both are transfer-resistant due to their matte finish, brighten well, so Purple is great for body use. It's impossible to apply the recommended amount. 1/3 to 1/2 of the recommended amount is the best you can do. While it excels in brightening, evening skin tone, and improving skin texture - potentially replacing base makeup, the actual sun protection is problematic. Applying 1/3 of the recommended amount doesn't mean you get 1/3 of the protection - it's much less effective. I suggest applying another sunscreen, waiting 20 minutes for absorption, then applying this, or using it on days with less sun exposure. Of course, you can easily apply the full amount on your neck! Try doing your base makeup 15-20 minutes after applying sunscreen. This timing may vary by season and skin type, but it significantly improves longevity and reduces pilling compared to applying cushion foundation immediately after sunscreen. I always do this regardless of the sunscreen I use. After applying sunscreen, I style my hair, get dressed, eat, and do other tasks before applying base makeup 30 minutes later. Try this method and let me know if it works for you! In the photo, the left side shows Apricot Pink, and the right side shows Purple. The swatches on the official website are quite accurate! - hu********Combination SkinRecommendedMay 9, 2021
I have quite fair skin with a pale undertone. I have some redness on my cheekbones and a few blemishes that tend to show easily. But when I apply this, my skin looks absolutely gorgeous! Plus, it leaves my skin feeling deeply hydrated while looking matte on the surface. It's incredibly comfortable to wear. I use the Ally Nuance No. 1 White all over my face, then lightly apply this product to the center of my face. It doesn't transfer onto my mask at all, and my complexion looks noticeably improved! The amount is quite small! But I understand since I only use a little bit in the center of my face. I guess it's meant to be used as a base product, so that makes sense. After applying this, if you spritz on some Freeplus Mild Shower Mist, you'll achieve that coveted glass skin effect!
