It absorbs well and spreads smoothly across the skin.
ConsThe fragrance wasn't to my liking, which was unexpected. I tried this before buying Byredo, curious about the scent, but now I'm giving up on Byredo La Tulipe. The lasting power was disappointingly short - it fades within 10 minutes of leaving the house. The hydration is also somewhat lacking, as my skin feels dry again quite quickly.

It has amazing longevity and performs its role as a body emulsion perfectly. It absorbs well, with just the right consistency, maintaining hydration for a long time.
ConsIt feels like there's not quite enough product in the bottle. Other than that, it's the best body emulsion I've purchased recently.

The fragrance projection and longevity are incredible. It's perfect for those who apply body emulsion primarily for the scent. The absorption is also decent!
ConsIt's strong... really strong. Sometimes it gives me a headache, so I end up using only a small amount. Sigh...
TipDoes the scent give you a headache? Try using it alongside an unscented body emulsion.

The fresh tulip fragrance was delightful. At first, I thought the scent might be a bit strong, but it quickly faded to a subtle aroma. The texture isn't a thin emulsion, but rather a slightly thicker one that still absorbs well.
ConsAlthough it's a bit large, I purchased it intending to use it like a hand cream due to its tube packaging that fits in one hand. However, it left a rich feeling right after application, making it inconvenient to use my hands immediately. Also, when applied to the body, it seemed to absorb rather slowly, and I was disappointed by the excess oiliness compared to its hydrating effect.

That's what I was most excited about when I bought it, and I wasn't disappointed. Also, the body emulsion applies smoothly and absorbs well, which is great!
ConsThere wasn't really anything disappointing about it, but I did think it would be nice if it came in a variety of sizes.

I've tried so many body emulsions and creams, but this one feels great! It glides on smoothly and despite not being a runny formula, it absorbs quickly!
Cons1. When I first sniffed the opening, I thought 'What's this glue smell?' and nervously applied a bit to the back of my hand. I was relieved to smell tulips, but when I spread it on my arms... suddenly, an absurd public bathhouse scent hit me. It really smells like a bathhouse! Especially strong at first, though it does fade over time. Some might even detect a glue-like scent. For accuracy: It's a fresh tulip scent mixed with hints of glue and bathhouse. As I keep sniffing while writing this review, the glue smell is really there! The initial bathhouse scent is a bit off-putting, but it becomes subtle after a few minutes. It's okay for bedtime relaxation, but I'm not a fan. It reminds me of scented pencils and glue from childhood stationery shops. Scent perception varies based on personal experiences, but this is what I and my friends noticed. It does smell like you've just showered, though. 2. The fragrance longevity is terrible. I applied it all over, went out for an hour, and the scent was almost gone. Shocking. Most scents fade overnight, except citrus ones, so I had to test it outside. Even on a calm day, the staying power is unspeakably bad. It seems to have the worst longevity among Artois body emulsions (haven't tried Song). Since fragrance and longevity are crucial for a scented emulsion, I'm giving it 2 stars. Definitely recommend testing it at Olive Young before buying. I'll use it more often than their 'Jimmy' emulsion as the scent is more natural, but only because I don't want to waste it. For those curious about comparisons: It's like a gentler version of Dior J'adore with melon notes, which I found cloying. La Tulipe has a stronger floral scent, while J'adore is slightly sweeter. Jimmy might be very divisive - it's a completely different scent family with musk and vanilla, identical to the Jimmy Choo perfume. Personally, I detected a hint of orchid in the dry-down, which I really disliked.
TipIt seems impossible to truly understand a fragrance just by reading others' descriptions. I extensively research reviews before blind buying fragrances or scented emulsions, but my actual experience always differs. Unless you enjoy the thrill of blind buys, it's best to just identify the scent family and test in person. I should stop blind buying... I've wasted so much money.
