The method I used (for acne): Don't use it alone, take a clean index finger and lightly apply it all over except the forehead (it's okay if it dries a bit during application)
Then focus on applying it to the acne or inflamed areas

Before the gel dries, quickly apply a sheet mask (a regenerating or intensely moisturizing sheet mask would be even better)

Use a cooling massager to massage the sheet mask for 10 minutes

Without the cooling massage, let it sit for an additional 5 minutes, then rinse off the gel gently as if washing your face.

The amount is a bit less than expected. 
So instead of applying it with a brush (which would actually use up more), gently spread it out widely with your fingertips, and then apply an extra layer only on the acne or inflamed spots.

This is the best peel-off mask I've used so far for clearing acne. 
Please keep it a secret just for me...

At first, I thought it might be a Speculoos mask since it deeply penetrates and replenishes moisture, 
and since I also have dryness as a cause of my skin troubles, it seemed like a good fit.

The gel-type formula makes it easy to adjust the application, and the texture is very satisfying. The product I'm using.
There was some irritation right after the first use, but it went away in less than 5 minutes.
With consistent use, the irritation was definitely gone.
The irritation only occurs on days when my skin is particularly dehydrated, so it's good that I can monitor my skin condition.
Although it's a hydrating mask, it also has a soothing effect, so I use it about 3 times a week, not too frequently.

When I purchased the face mask, I also received an ampoule. Using the ampoule as a base and then applying the mask has made my skin twice as hydrated.

The price and short 5-month shelf life after opening are a bit disappointing. I shouldn't hold back on using it, though, and just apply it more often.
