This is a hundred times better than any mediocre brightening moisturizer out there. While it doesn't tackle redness (which is understandable, as that's not its intended purpose), it does a great job of boosting the overall brightness of your complexion that's been dulled by redness. The slightly matte finish means that if you apply it sparingly, it barely transfers onto your mask. Plus, being white, any transfer is hardly noticeable. It doesn't offer any correction for skin texture or pores, nor does it provide coverage. But honestly, I don't find this disappointing. In these days when we're wearing less makeup, it's actually more harmonious to have a base that gives you that natural, bare-faced finish.
