This was my first time trying Etude House skincare products! I was a bit worried because of the preconception that they might be harsh, but surprisingly, they were incredibly gentle. The application: Since it's a balm, the texture is quite rich. You might think it won't absorb well, but if you gently pat it in, it absorbs into the skin nicely. Absorption: I'll tell you more about this in a bit! Skin improvement: To be honest, my skin isn't in bad condition to begin with. I don't have acne, just some blackheads and visible pores. It does seem to make my skin look clearer. While it might not be effective for blackheads, I think it could definitely help with blemishes.
I found the texture a bit disappointing. Given that it's a balm, I worry it might be too heavy for the upcoming summer. I kept reaching for my usual moisturizer, but forced myself to use this instead. Honestly, apart from the texture, I didn't have any other issues with it.
My skin is somewhat unique - only my forehead is oily, while the rest is close to normal! Due to its balm-like consistency, I think it might be more suitable for dry or combination dehydrated skin rather than oily skin. You don't need to apply many other products. Just use a toner to prep your skin, then apply this cica balm. For me, that was enough for ample hydration!
