After my skin was ravaged by acute adult acne, I found that applying any product with oil content daily would trigger breakouts. Yet, I have frustratingly dehydrated skin underneath. I'd been getting by with just toner and essence, avoiding emulsions and moisturizers. But when I apply this, it doesn't cause blemishes and feels like it creates a thin protective layer on my skin. It seems to calm my skin too, which is great.
There's nothing particularly bad, but due to its rich texture, I don't apply it every single day.
I adjust application based on my skin's condition. When my skin is relatively clear with few blemishes, or when it feels oily but without many spots, I apply it every two to three nights. If I'm experiencing breakouts or skin damage, I only use it in the evening. After cleansing with the same line's gentle toner and letting it absorb, I apply just this cica balm and nothing else. Don't try to layer too many products unnecessarily.
