I'm on my second tube of the Soon Jung Cica Balm! Scent: It's fragrance-free! There's a very slight medicinal scent, but it's not noticeable at all. You won't find it off-putting. Texture: It really feels like an ointment, kind of like a mix between Madecassol and Vaseline. It's hard to describe, but you'll understand when you try it. Simply put, it's a thick balm texture! Design: Simple and clean! The cap is shaped like an ointment tube. The previous packaging was an aluminum tube, but it's been redesigned to a regular tube format. Apparently, the Cica Balm is sensitive to light, so they can't use transparent packaging. Effectiveness: I've seen great results! First off, my skin barrier feels improved. I had finished one tube and went without it for a while. During that time, my skin felt really tired. It didn't feel plump from within and seemed kind of limp, but when I started using it again, I could definitely tell the difference. Price: Great value for money! Other Cica balms cost around 20,000-30,000 won, but this one is 17,000 won, and when it's on sale, it's just over 10,000 won! Acne: Other users have reported great results with acne! At first, I was amazed at how well it worked on my blemishes... but over time, maybe I built up a tolerance? It doesn't clear up overnight like it used to... With consistent use, pustular acne usually clears up in 2-3 days. (It doesn't work as quickly on closed comedones) ♦️This is just my personal opinion♦️
It's an excellent product for those with acne-prone skin or a damaged skin barrier. However, if you already have flawless skin, you might not need to use this! (To be honest, there aren't really any downsides...)
As mentioned on the back of the product, if you want intensive care, apply it thickly to the area you want to treat. When used with hyaluronic acid products, your makeup applies amazingly well... For skin barrier care: use a hyaluronic acid product + Soon Jung Cica Balm For acne care: you don't need to use it with hyaluronic acid products Note: The black marks on the back of my hand in the photo are eyeliner!
