Hello there! Let me share a review of my favorite sunscreen. This is a sunscreen I've researched and considered the most before buying. My selection criteria are as follows (those that apply to Roundlab 365 Derma Relief Sun Cream are marked): Not too expensive? Minimal or slight white cast? Easy to remove? Smooth texture? Non-sticky and powdery finish? Quick absorption? Good reviews? Good ingredients? Gentle enough for sensitive skin? Now, let's start the review! Surprisingly smooth application: First, I was pleased with how easily it applies. I expected it to be thick and hard to spread since it's a mineral sunscreen, but it's actually quite smooth. Powerful matte finish: It applies like an emulsion, and after about 2 minutes, your skin becomes completely matte. No need for powder! The matte finish keeps oil at bay, and the titanium + silica seem to control sebum. Lately, my skin has been changing from normal to combination to oily (maybe it's just the summer?). My previous sunscreen was sticky, so I had to reduce my skincare steps, but with this one, I can use a hydrating ampoule instead of just a light emulsion (just saying). Anyway, it's great! Pretty, subtle white cast: The white cast is just enough to give a slight brightening effect. It's not so noticeable that you can't apply it, but when I first put it on, others commented that my face looked brighter (honestly, I didn't notice the white cast myself). Super gentle, no blemishes: I haven't had a single breakout while using this! It seems extremely gentle. As a growing student with sensitive skin, I usually react immediately if there's something my skin doesn't like, but this seems to work well for me. It also controls oil, so it doesn't cause more blackheads, and I haven't had any acne either.
A bit pricey for students: It's a bit expensive (for a student with no money). But I got it on sale at Hwahae for 9,800 won (it came to about 12,000 won including shipping). Cleansing effectiveness: If you don't cleanse thoroughly, some residue remains. I recommend double cleansing, and if you only use foam cleanser, try using it twice. If you're lazy and don't cleanse properly, you'll end up with white patches due to the white cast, so you'll have to cleanse twice anyway.
Hwahae often has sales, so if you keep an eye out for sale periods, you can buy it much cheaper at 9,800 won. Also, instead of applying it all at once, try layering it two or three times to reduce the white cast. If your base skincare is insufficient, it can get very dry, so make sure to hydrate well and use slightly oily creams or serums to create a barrier. It won't be dry unless you're outside for a very long time.
