A gentle pure Vitamin C, E, and Ferulic Acid serum that's not harsh on the skin. I wanted to try a few cost-effective alternatives to SkinCeuticals, so I picked this up from Olive Young. Price/Volume: Regular price 45,000 won for 20ml (2,250 won/ml). During Olive Young sales, you can get it for the high 30,000 won range. While the 20ml size is smaller compared to other brands, there's a 2-pack set. Regular price is 78,000 won, but with discounts, you can get it for as low as 58,000 won (1,450 won/ml). Ingredients: Contains 6% pure Vitamin C, Vitamin E, and Ferulic Acid - a good balance of antioxidants. Exact percentages aren't specified. Also includes squalane, vetiver root oil, pepper fruit oil, and damask rose flower oil. It has a subtle citrusy grapefruit scent. Compared to other pure Vitamin C serums, it applies more gently, but you can feel a slight oiliness, and it takes a bit of time to absorb. Despite its great value allowing for generous application, the lower Vitamin C concentration makes it comfortable to use. It might be preferable to 15%+ products when your skin is feeling sensitive. It's said to be Physiogel's most repurchased product. I highly recommend it as an entry-level option for those new to pure Vitamin C serums!
Compared to SkinCeuticals Vitamin serum, it's more oily and takes a bit longer to absorb.
It's best to apply Vitamin C according to your skin's sensitivity level. You can alternate days, or use Physiogel in the morning and a more concentrated, heavier serum with moisturizer in the evening. This is how I use it alongside SkinCeuticals. Using it with a Merbe Galvanic device, which uses ions to increase absorption, works well when massaged together.
